A little bundle is set on the doorstep of the orphanage. The cries echo down the empty street.
"Sorry little guy." It is a man voice, not the bundle's mother. The cries grow louder.
The man disappears into the shadows, after knocking loudly on the orphanage door.
A bright light appears above the bundle. Cooing comes from the light before a woman shape forms.
"Calm, Little One, you have much to do," she whispers, booping the bundle's nose. The crying stops and a soft giggle replaces the noise.
"You'll be okay. You have people who will protect you in your journey." She taps his heart and five lights of different colors shimmer out before disappearing.
"Stay safe, Ethan. You have an important role to do."
The woman shimmers and disappears when the door opens. An elderly lady looks around then down at the bundle.
"Oh sweet thing!" She picks up the bundle and hurries him inside.
A note lays tucked into the blanket. She pulls it out and reads 'Ethan' scribbled on the paper.
"Well hello, Ethan. Welcome home."
