Seth huffs, pulling Ethan into his arms.
"It's completely unfair he made you come first as the newest addition."
It is the next day, and the group is meeting as a debrief and to go over the schedule. Ethan is trying to eat breakfast.
"He was delicious. I'm surprised you've been able to hold back this long." Seon smirks, his eyes roaming Ethan's face and down his neck. Seon had picked out a dark blue v-neck shirt for Ethan to wear this morning to show off the new bite.
Seth grips Ethan's face as he is about to take a bite. "Ugh, I need him so badly now.." The groan that escapes his mouth as he nibbles at his neck, away from Seon's bite. Raziel pulls Seth away from Ethan, placing himself between the two.
"Eat, Little One." Ethan smiles thankfully at Raziel before digging into the pancakes.
Seth huffs dramatically again.
"We need to figure out a schedule," Raziel states, looking at the other beings.
"Splitting a week between three is a little harder than two." Seth adds, glaring a little at Seon.
"We did discuss a house. But you mentioned he may have more."
Raziel nods. "Ethan, how do you feel now that Seon has bit you? Feeling better?"
Ethan chews on his food in his mouth, thinking about the feelings in his chest. Three men should be enough. He closes his eyes and breathe, feeling his chest. A soft ache still pulls and Ethan deflates. The feeling has dull but it's still there, pulling not towards any being at the table.
"I still have the ache..." he mutters, looking at Seth apologetically. "I'm sorry, babe."
Seth shakes his head, getting around Raziel to place a kiss on his forehead. "Don't apologize. It isn't your fault and I wouldn't change you for anything." He huffs though, looking at them other two. "We probably need to find the other one quickly. It wouldn't be great for us to start a new schedule and have Ethan move stuff to a third house just for a fourth house to pop up."
"How can we find the fourth one? We don't even know what type of being they are?" Seon questions. "The best bet would be a werewolf. But there's no guarantees. I mean, if it was a werewolf, wouldn't have been his little friend, Kevin?"
Ethan shakes his head. "Kevin is more like a brother to me. It'd be weird if he was one of you guys.."
"Just because you feel that way about him, it does not stop his feelings for you," Raziel notes.
Ethan keeps his mouth shut after that.
"A werewolf would be the next best option. There are just 100s of them in this city," Seth adds, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"We can narrow it down. Unmated, probably in a position of power or close to it. That is just based on who he is already mated to," Seon continues.
"So what, we should start bringing him to council meetings? 'Hey everyone! Are you mates with my mate?' I see that going well." Seth's scowl makes Ethan giggle.
"Maybe we can start with packs in the area. There's only 3 large packs in the city. Some smaller ones, but if I were to guess, his mate is in one of the large ones."
The panic from last night starts setting in. Another powerful mate? "Maybe he's a normal werewolf," Ethan rushes out. "Nobody said my mates had to be powerful!"
Raziel tilts his head curiously at Ethan. "We are not saying they do. Based on pattern, they are most likely powerful."
More power. More riches. More. More. More. Ethan is nothing. He comes from nothing. He's worked hard for everything he has and it was a one bedroom apartment that he paid half rent for. He didn't even properly earn it. They deserve better than what he offers. Why him? He has done nothing to deserve them. He is waste. He is useless. He is nothing.
