Their Little Human

First Date with Seon

Ethan adjusts the light blue button-up shirt awkwardly as he stands outside the restaurant. He's a bit early, so he's a little lost on what he should do. Why is he so anxious? That he is also unsure of.

Seon arrives moments later, greeting Ethan with a soft kiss to his hand.

"Hello, Ethan. You look lovely."

Ethan's face heats up. Stuttering, he replies, "Th-thanks! You look handsome yourself!" He looked gorgeous, a dark blue suit tailored to his body, his button up was black underneath. His blue hair was slicked back. He looked so put together. Ethan felt slightly underdressed. But he felt bad wearing a suit Seth or Raziel got him on a date. He wants Seon to see him.

Seon chuckles softly, a dark fluttery kind of chuckle. Ethan felt a weird tingle go up his spine at the sound. Seon half smiles at Ethan, and the hairs on the back of his neck stand up.

"Shall we?"

Why did everything in him tell Ethan to run?

"Yeah, of course," Ethan smiles politely. His heart beats loudly in his chest, and he was sure Seon could hear it.

Seon guides Ethan into the restaurant with a hand on the bottom of his back. Bypassing the hostess, they made their way to the back of the restaurant where the private dining rooms were. Seon pulls the chair out for Ethan, pushing him back in. A menu was set in front of them quickly.

"This place is beautiful," Ethan comments, admiring the elegant but dark style restaurant.

"Stereotypical looking vampire place, huh?" Seon glances around until his dark red eyes land on Ethan.

Ethan tenses. He felt like prey. Why did he feel like prey?

"Vampires aren't a huge fan of bright colors. I grew up with a vampire as an adopted dad. So I understand your distaste for it."

Seon chuckles darkly again, flashing one of his fangs as he smiles at Ethan. "I guess you know quite a bit about vampires then."

Ethan blushes at that, looking away as he rubs the back of his neck. "Not a lot, enough to live with and around them at a distance."

"So, am I the first vampire you've gone on a date with?"

"In all fairness, I never went on a date until Seth took me on one."

"I find that hard to believe, Ethan."

"I was never interested in anyone. I had plenty of guys who flirted with me, but I just.. I never felt anything towards them."

"Oh?" Seon leans forward, resting his elbows on the table, place his head on his hands. He smiles slyly. "What do you feel towards me?"

Fear.

Curiosity.

Like prey enticing a predator to eat it.

Ethan shakes his head at the thoughts, "Curious, enticing."

Seon chuckles lowly, his red eyes swirling with black specs as he looks at Ethan. "I'm glad you think so."

"Have you had the chance to look at the menu yet? Anything interesting?"

"Oh! There's a lot to choose from.."

"How about I order for you?"

"Oh? You eat human food?"

"Of course, it's nice to try and pretend to be human every once in a while, Ethan."

"Duke-"

"No, no formal titles with me, just Seon."
