The Werewolf

Seon adjusts Ethan's jacket, straightening out the wrinkles of travel. Ethan taps nervously against his pants.

"Breathe, Naui Wangjanim. This is a routine meeting between vampire courts and werewolf packs." Ethan nods.

They are at the Emerald Blood Pack. This is the second meeting they have attended this week. Emerald Blood Pack is the first pack on their list but they couldn't meet till later. Seon set a meeting with the Ruby Moon Pack earlier to help move along faster. Nobody stuck out to Ethan. There's another meeting later this week in case it's the same here.

They walk up to the glass door of the pack building. Ethan couldn't tell how many floors it even had. His head got dizzy as he looks at it. They are greeted by a doorman.

"Duke Seon, welcome. Alpha Pierce is waiting for you in our conference room. I'll take you there now." He only addresses Seon. Ethan shifts at that. He's not important enough to be addressed. His eyes drop to the ground. Seon glances at Ethan, placing his hand on his back and guiding him inside.

They enter a meeting room with 20 or so chairs around a long board table. There is about 10 people in the room. They are standing the refreshment table. They turn towards the couple. Ethan scans the crowd quickly, before dropping his eyes. It's hard for him to tell. He'll have to wait for a touch.

"Duke Seon! Welcome to Emerald Blood Pack." A man with short cut brown hair steps forward, extending his hand out.

"Alpha Pierce, nice to see you. Thank you for this meeting." Seon meets his hand and shakes. "This is my mate, Ethan. I wanted to bring him to a few of my meetings. Start showing his face around."

The alpha's eyes flare slightly, something Ethan couldn't place flashes before he smiles at Ethan. "Nice to meet you, Ethan. Welcome to our pack."

"Thank you," Ethan smiles at him.

"I've brought all leaders and future leaders. All of my sons are present." He glances over the crowd. "Well, one is missing but he is my third son. He had an emergency that he is handling but he will be here soon."

Seon nods. "Please, introduce us."

Alpha Pierce begins introducing everyone. Ethan shakes each of their hands but doesn't feel anything. He almost let out sigh of relief when the last person shakes his hand. He's not in this pack.

The door flies open and a man with dark tan skin and messy brown hair enters. He sniffs and scans the crowd. His wild eyes land on Ethan and flare wide. Ethan stiffens, gripping Seon's arm. Oh no.

"Aaron! My boy, nice of you to join us. We just finished introductions." Alpha Pierce addresses Aaron. Aaron snaps back to reality.

He nods to his father. "I'm sorry for being late. My name is Aaron, I'm his third son."

He extends his hand out to Ethan. Ethan takes it, feeling the mate bond burn between them.

"I'm Ethan," he rasps.

Aaron's eyes flare, pulling away quickly to calm his breathing.  He then notices Seon with his arm wrapped around his mate. Fuck, he thinks to himself. This isn't going his way at all. He had sensed Ethan in the lobby, rushing up here only to find out his mate is a human man and now realizing he's on the arm of a vampire.

"Duke Seon."

Not just any vampire either. Aaron shakes his hand. It really not his day. He holds himself back, fighting every urge in his body.

Seon looks Pierce. "Let's get the meeting started." The alpha nods. Everyone takes a seat around the table.

Seon starts his political talk with Pierce. Ethan listens intently, trying to soak up as much information as he can. As he sits there, he feels Aaron's eyes bore into him, distracting him. He starts shifting in his chair, glancing at the wolf a few times.
