The spy moved in the darkness.
He searched the arched windows for anyone who could murder anyone, including himself. That wasn't usually the case, since he was the one who was first to strike.
The black colored hood protected his head; the black colored boots was silent on the cobbled ground. He noticed several Lords talking to themselves.
Their eyes focused on the spy, as if he was someone who wasn't supposed to hear what they were saying. He heard other voices:
~"The Vampires are to be killed. The Hunter will arrive soon".
The spy shivered.
The Hunter would murder some people who he thought showed signs of unnatural behavior. Since the vampiric disease infected the village several years' ago, he was wary of hunters. They killed for pleasure; they killed because The Mayor wanted them to kill them; they killed because the Church of England's Head Cardinal...and their Priests...were supposed to get rid of the Undead.
And now he heard rumors that the religious clergymen were dead as well. And were turned into Vampires themselves.
He stopped near a bench.
A lamp illumed the cobbled road.
Suddenly he heard a girl's scream.
He saw a drunken man slam his right fist into her face.
"GET OUT O' HERE!", the man yelled.
"Cмерть", she told him.
And spat into the cobbled ground.
The spy moved towards her.
"Cмерть, da! Come with me!". ("Death, yes. Come with me").
"Nyet!".
"Death won't come to you, da! I shall not deal with someone who disagrees with me. Besides, you would've died back there by that brute".
"Da!".
"Kak vas za-voot?". ("What is your name?").
"Silvie".
The spy smiled.
"Men-ya za-voot...Andrei". ("My name is Andrei"). He used his Russian name in case of emergencies. He loved Russian girls.
He gently took her right arm.
"Go".
"Go! Da, go!".
He wrapped his right arm around the scared girl's body, as they headed to The Inn of Cold Dark, just as the thunder boomed in the London sky...and scared Silvie until he kissed her on the mouth...and calmed her down.
