Chapter 6: Visions.

Skylar's pov

Stiles and I are at the station right now with his dad going over everything that's been happening.

"Chimeras" sheriff said

"Two dead chimeras" stiles said

"And eight new ones" I said

Last night there were eight holes found on the lacrosse field at our school.

"So, that's 10 in all" stiles said

"I'm thinking maybe 11" sheriff said putting a picture of Donovan on his board. "Our station tech guys confirmed something for me... They said, both the holding cell lock and cameras could have malfunctioned because of something electromagnetic. You said that, uh, these guys..." Sheriff said grabbing the book.

"The Dread Doctors" I said

"Are we really calling them that?" Sheriff said

"So they broke Donovan out?" I said ignoring his question.

"It's how they got into Eichen, isn't it?" Sheriff said.

"So Donovan's a Chimera?" I said walking up to his picture.

"Yeah, but is he a failure like Tracy and Lucas?" Sheriff said

"If he is, then that'd mean he's dead" I said

I see sheriff turn around to stiles and I turn too. Stiles is just standing there staring at the ground.

"You're uncharacteristically quiet" sheriff said

"Yeah, sorry, uh...I'm just trying to think about it. These are all teenagers, right? So, now shouldn't we be trying to figure out why these teenagers? If the Dread Doctors, if they went through all that...burying them, killing them, breaking one of them out of jail..." Stiles was saying.

"They couldn't have been chosen at random" sheriff said

"They had to have something in common" I said

"Something that made them right for this experiment" sheriff said

"Something that made them special" stiles said

I check the time and realize that stiles and I have to go. We're meeting up with Theo, Scott, Kira, Malia and Lydia to all read the book together.

"Stiles, we have to go" I said

"Okay" he said

We both leave the station and get into his jeep and he starts it and we drive off. As he's driving I notice him gripping the wheel really hard and I just stare at him. What's going on with him?

"Stiles" I said

"Hm?" He said

"Pull the jeep over" I said

"What?" He said

"I said pull the jeep over" I said

"We have to get to--" he was saying but I cut in.

"I don't care. Pull it over" I said and he sighed.

He pulled the jeep over and turned the engine off not looking to me.

"What's going on?" I said

"Nothing's going on. I'm just stressed about the Dread Doctors" he said

"You're lying" I said

"Can we not talk about this right now?" He said

"No, we're talking about it" I said

"Skylar, just stop! Nothing is wrong!" He yelled catching me off guard.
