Melissa's pov

When I got home from work and walked in my kitchen the first thing I did was let a huge scream out.  Lying right on my table is a dead girl with a sword stabbed into her chest.  I immediately call sheriff and have him come.  When he gets here he goes to walk into my house but I step in front of him.

"I thought you said you have a situation" he said

"Yes, but complicated. If you come in, I need you to leave your badge at the door." I said

"Uh...literally or figuratively?" He said

"Both would be preferable" I said and he sighed.

"Melissa, I...I've set my badge aside a few too many times in the last couple weeks." He said

"Well, you may need to do it a few more considering what our kids get into during their free time. So, do you want to come in or not?" I said

He took of his badge and put it in his pocket and I opened my door. He stood there and stared at the girl then walked in and looked at the sword.

"Has anybody seen Kira tonight?" He said

"You don't think she did this, do you? Could this have something to do with Scott? Some kind of message being sent?" I said

He looked to the girl then put his head down. He then grabbed his walkie talkie and started talking into it.

"Dispatch, this is Sheriff Stilinski. I got a 1-8-7 at 821 Williamson Road. Notify Beacon Hills Memorial" he said

I turn to him and smack him across the face then he looks to me.

"There is a dead girl in your kitchen with a sword sticking out her chest. What did you think I was gonna do?" He said

"You know it wasn't Kira" I said

"This is murder! This kid, this child, has a family. What, am I supposed to just cover that up? This is a crime. And it's my responsibility to handle it within the parameters of the law" he said

"What about our kids? They constantly deal with things outside the law" I said

"But not above the law" he said putting his badge back on.

Kira's pov

I hear siren's behind me and turn around to see a cop car pull up. The cop, which I see is Hayden's sister, gets out and walks up to me.

"Hi, there. You doing okay?" She said

I then look around and see that I'm standing in the middle of the road at midnight. Did I walk all the way out here? Something doesn't feel right though.

"Something...something happened out here" I said

"Cars usually happen here. Going very fast. So it might be a good idea to at least step out of the middle of the road. How about I give you a ride home? Does that sound like a good idea?" She said and I nodded.

We both started walking towards the cop car when I stopped and looked back.

"I think I came here to remember something." I said

"That's fair. But considering how late it is, I'm thinking your parents are gonna be a little worried about you. Come on" she said putting her hand on my back.

We walk over to the cop car and she opens the door letting me in the back. She then leans in and handcuffs and I look to her confused.
