Trigger warning: cars, bad supernatural references

"Ty. I have an idea," Josh said, putting his phone on speaker. "We should go on a road trip! Just you and me, to get to know each other a little better."

"Dude, we've been frens for years, I think we know each other well enough," Tyler responded. "But I'm down, when and where?"

Josh smiled widely and told Tyler where to go. "We'll be gone for a week, and we'll be driving, so wear something comfy."

Tyler quickly packed a bag, and drove over to Josh's house, where they'd be meeting. After a few minutes of shoving everything into Josh's beautiful Impala, they were off on the road.

"I just realised, you never told me where we're going," Tyler said, stretching out in the front seat. "I hope I packed appropriately."

"We're going to some beach in Florida," Josh smiled. "It'll probably take a few days to drive there, so keep an eye out for motels."

Nodding, Tyler fidgeted with the car radio, trying to find a good station. After a while, he gave up looking and curled up on the seat.

"Wake me up when its my turn to drive,"

A few hours later, Tyler was shaken awake by Josh. "I'm about to pass out, could you drive for a bit? Directions are on the GPS."

Pulling themselves out of the car, both boys took a moment to stretch their legs. Tyler plonked himself into the driver's seat, and Josh lay down in the back.

Glancing at the directions on the GPS, Tyler shook the grogginess from his face and nyoomed down the highway, Josh's soft snores giving him peace.

He drove for a few more hours, not stopping for food or bathroom breaks (because he's hardcore). Following the calm, robotic voice playing from Josh's phone, he turned off at the proper exit. Pulling in to the driveway of a motel, he reached back and shook Josh awake.

"Hey, we're at a motel. You'll sleep better in a bed."

Ignoring his body's protests, Josh stumbled over to their room. It was a much nicer one than they'd expected, with clean sheets and a fresh smell to the air. Tyler and Josh collapsed into one of the beds, and were out before their heads hit the pillows.

The next day was pretty much the same, except both boys stayed awake. By the time it was reaching noon, they had made it. Their hotel was right on the beach, with a view of the white sand and crystalline waters.

With huge grins and many laughs, our boys ran into the water splashing and kicking.

Sooooooooo...

This one sucked. I apologise for the short length, and terrible story quality, but I had no motivation and no prompts.

If you'd like me to update faster, comments and suggestions would be a huge help.

Thank you for your patience.
