"Zaryia you've been coming home late everyday for the past two weeks. We just cant allow you to keep breaking curfew like this." my mom said, sounding disappointed.
"Mom, Jeremy needed me!" I said trying to plead with her. "I couldn't leave him at a time like that."
"Zaryia, you went to the hospital to see Tyrell. What does Jeremy have to do with the prices of apples in china right now?"
"While I was in the room with Tyrell, right while I was getting ready to go actually, Jay and his family came in. Senior was on a stretcher, Junior had little shards of glass stuck in his back, and mom was running around like a mad woman."
"Well I'm sorry Zaryia I really am, but when we set a time restriction, you need to follow it. Do not be late again, or you will be finding another place to sleep that night." my father said, with all the calm in the world. "I hope I have made myself abundantly clear."
"Crystal."I said with a hiss. I got up and walked to my room in the back of the house and sat down on the edge of my bed. I looked over, and in the corner next to my bed was the baby simulator, laying still in the rocker...
"only one more day with me love..." I said "then you go back to school with Ms. Angel."
I walked over to my bookshelf and got the scrapbook that went along with my baby. Flipping through the pages, looking at the pictures and words I realized that even now, the day before the project was to be handed in, Jeremy and I still hadn't named our child. So I picked up my phone and called him.
"Hey baby what's up?" he answered on the second ring.
His voice always sent shivers down my spine. "Nothin....I just wanted you to know we still haven't named this baby."
"Crap...seriously?! Um ok...well have you thought of anything?"
"No...I was hoping you had..."
"Ok...well do you have one of those baby name book thingys?"
"Really Jay...why would I have that?"
"I don't know...I thought girls kept that kind of stuff around."
"Wow...ok...anyway...I think its a little girl. so, we need to come up with a little girls name."
"April, Avannah, Elizabeth, Rachael, Mary, Emma...uhh..."
"Come on baby you're doing good keep em' coming." I said, coaching my boyfriend.
"ohhh crap...umm...Sara, Leah, SHARKISHA!! That's it bae....Sharkisha."
"No. No way Jay, no child of mine will be named sharkisha." I giggled.
"Why not? Don't you like it...its soo...CLASSY!!" I could hear hid smile through the phone.
"That is the furthest thing from classy...but seriously I do like Avannah.
"Ok then, her name is Avannah."
"Avannah what? She has to have a middle name." I said to him.
"Fine. Avannah Leigh DeLuca." he said, very proud of his hard work.
"I love it. Her daddy's last name and everything. Now you need to come help me with this scrap book." I said, fumbling with my glue gun.
"When? Now?"
"Sure." I said, "Why not?"
"Because its 2 in the morning...but if you want me there then I'm coming." I heard him shuffling around on the other side of the phone.
"Ok, come around the back. We'll sit back there and finish the book.
About ten minutes later there was a soft knock on my window. I peaked through the blinds and gestured for him to go around back. I packed up the project in my small arts and crafts box and carried it outside. I opened the backdoor slowly to insure there would be no screeching. Jeremy too the box from me and sat it down on the floor. As soon as I turned around, Jeremy laid his rose petal lips on mine.
