The next morning when I woke up Jeremy was still sleeping. His arm was still around me. Still in spite of my morning drowsiness, it was 6 o'clock and that meant time to get ready for school.
"SHIT!! Its 6 in the morning", I said frantically trying to wake the peacefully sleeping Jeremy. "You were suppose to leave at 3!!"
Jeremy moaned and rolled over, not wanting to get up and out of bed. Once he rolled over, he saw the clock. "We weren't paying attention were we?"
"Not really... stay here, I'm gonna go see if there gone already." I said, getting out of the bed.
"mmm...ok...." Jeremy buried his face in the pillows and pulled the covers over his face. I walked around the house searching for a sign that my parents were gone. When I got to the kitchen, I saw a note on the counter top.
"Zaryia, you know your dad and I are gonna be gone for the whole week so there's food money under the cookie jar. We love you and hope you have a good week. Call if you need anything. Love mommy & Daddy. P.S. Tell Jeremy to go home....we're talking about this when we get home.
Well my parents knew he was here before they left, and I knew I was gonna be in trouble when they got back,so I might as well enjoy myself while I had the house to myself.
My mom always had business trips to go on, and she usually took my dad with her so she wouldn't be lonely. It wasn't like I didn't see them a lot, but it wasn't like they were at home a lot either.
I walked back to my room where Jeremy was still asleep. "Babe you need to wake up." I said standing in the door frame of my bedroom. Jeremy rolled over, but didn't move the covers of his face. "Come on now I know you don't wanna get up but you have to." I said as I sat on his lap. "My parents know you were here last night."
"They what?!" He sat up abruptly.
"I thought that might work." I smiled
"Yup my mom put it in the note she left on the counter...I guess they came in this morning and saw you here."
"I'm gonna die" He fell back into the bed, shaking it in the process. I got up and pulled all the covers off the bed, exposing him to the cold morning air of my room. "And now I'm gonna freeze." He laid completely sprawled out in the middle of my bed wearing nothing but his undershirt and boxers. He must have changed in the middle of the night.
"Get up and I'll make you breakfast", I said, hoping that this incentive might spark some interest.
"Food?!" he sat up again, "What kind?"
"Anything you want"
"Can I have some pancakes?" he asked.
"Sure. but you have to take a shower first."
"Yes Ma'am!" Jeremy popped out of bed and practically ran to the bathroom.
I got my clothes for school ready while he was in the shower, then when to make his pancakes. He didn't take long at all, and when he was finished he walked back to my room in nothing but his towel...why he loved to torment me I may never know.
I went to my room and watched him from the door frame. "Why you always stalking me?" He joked.
"Your at my house... I can stalk if I want. Your pancakes are done"
"Thanks!! The way to my heart is through my stomach" he said. "Can you go get my bag out of the bed of my truck please? I need to get out of this towel...messing with you was fun but now I'm just cold."
