Chapter 40

Jinhwan's POV:

"Hyung, tell me now, what the hell is going on?!" Yunhyeong yelled at me as Rose just sat there like a confused idiot.

"I don't know, ok?! She was fine at P.E. earlier, and when...when it started to rain that's when she started to act weird. I don't know what's going on either, so don't blame me." I yelled back at him.

He sighed and paced back and forth nervously.

"What are we gonna do? This is not good. This is not good, hyung!"

"Will you shut up?! Don't you think I know that?" I paused and thought. "We need to take her to a doctor and find out what's up."

"Umm...Joy's Dad is a doctor! Maybe we can use this free period to bring her to him so he can check what's up with her."

I nodded and pulled Rose to her feet. "Ok, I'll get her to my car already. You fetch Joy and Lei. They're Rose's best friends and we need Joy to ask her father for help."

"Alright, cool. I'll get them now, you go ahead."

Although it took a while because she wouldn't listen, I eventually brought Rose to my car and Yunhyeong came with the girls shortly after.

As soon as they came and we all got in the car, the two girls immediately started blabbing to Rose.

"Oh my god, my poor baby, are you okay?"

"Rosie, what happened to you?"

It was annoying for a while but fortunately, the hospital wasn't far from our school. Of course Rose remembered them, so they acted how they usually do with each other.

It was weird though and it kind of upset me that the only thing that Rose didn't remember was Bobby, Yunhyeong, and I. Well at least that we know of as of now.

On the way to the hospital Joy called her Dad about Rose, so when we got there he was already prepared for her.

They put her in a room to be examined and tested on, but none of us were allowed to be with her.

Apparently it was something about 'patient privacy' but I honestly just think Joy's dad doesn't like Yunhyeong and I.

It was silent in the waiting room. Everyone was way tense for some reason.

I would've been able to take a power nap in the time we were waiting, but Yunhyeong kept constantly coughing loudly.

"Can you shut up? I can't hear myself think!" Joy said slapping me in the arm.

"I'm sorry okay. I feel kinda sick."

He said apologetically.

"Well maybe you shouldn't have been carelessly playing the rain like a four-year old." I said rolling my eyes at him.

"How can I not when you decided to leave me and run off with Rose to the cafeteria? Why did you protect her from the rain? Why couldn't you protect me?" He said whining, irritating me even more.

I groaned and ignored him.

About almost half an hour passed and Dr. Moon came out to greet us.

"Hey honey." He said giving Joy a hug. "We meet again Ms. Leilani Choi. And I assume you two are also here for Ms. Park." He said looking at Yunhyeong and I.

"Dad, how's Rose doing?" Joy asked anxiously.

"She's doing just fine. She only doesn't remember minor things; like what she ate for breakfast or her 1st period's lecture today." He paused then slightly looked up at me. "But I'm also getting reports that she doesn't seem to know you two or that other young man? Speaking of him, where is your tall friend by the way? I expected he would be the one bringing Rose here. I like him, he's a very charming young man."
