Jinhwan's POV:

"Yes Ma."

...

"Of course Ma."

...

"What the hell? No, I won't let Seiyeon borrow my car to pick up her boy friend. Hanyeol should have a license by now, it's her fault she's dating younger guys these days, that hoe."

...

"Ok, fine I'm sorry, ma. But I'm still not letting her borrow it."

...

"Yeah, yeah. Ok, cool. Bye, love you."

I hung up the phone in frustration as I made my way to my house, in my car. I had just come back from Rose's house, and let me tell you- that couple has a ton shit of problems!

I'm just happy to finally get back home without any more worries at the moment. Rose is back to normal, Bobby and I are cool-

Hopefully. We have a very bipolar relationship.

I rummaged around my car's pockets for my keys to the house as I pulled into the driveway.

Tip-toeing toward the porch, I tried my hardest not to make my entrance into my house noticeable, in fear of running into my sister, Seiyeon.

I felt successful for at least two seconds, walking into the living room, until she popped up out of nowhere, making me jump out of my skin.

"Yah, Kim Jinhwan, where have you been?!" She irritatingly yelled at me.

"Why does it matter to you?"

Her expression drastically changed to an innocent sweetie, but I obviously didn't buy it. "Did you get a call from mom?"

"Yes, I did, and I am NOT lending you my car for you and Hanyeol's whereabouts. It's your fault for landing all those parking tickets, idiot."

"But whyyyyyy? Hanyeol was going to take me dress-shopping for my birthday party next week. It's already next Saturday, I need to pick out my dress soon," she whined even more.

Basically, Seiyeon last minute decided to have some big, formal, birthday bash for her 20th birthday and my mom actually agreed to it. I think it's just because Seiyeon's switching colleges to study abroad, so mom's been a bit more lenient to her lately. I'm just surprised we were able to get a lot of the planning done in less than a month- and that includes invitations, DJs, the venue, and everything. The only thing left to do now is really Seiyeon's own personal preparations- outfit, makeup, etc.- and she's been nagging me to help her out with it ever since.

"No way, not with my car. I'm not going to let you and Hanyeol take it alone."

"Well then, you can come along with us. And you can bring a friend too."

"No, I'm busy all rest of the week, I only have free-time today."

"Then, let's go today!"

I groaned and furrowed my eyebrows in annoyance. I don't know why I tried so hard, because I never win these arguments anyway.

"Ugh, call Hanyeol. If he's not ready by the time we come to pick him up, he's not coming along." I muttered in defeat.

Seiyeon squealed and hugged me tight. "Thanks so much, li'l bro, I love you so much!"

I sighed and smiled at how happy she looked. "No problem, noona."

I was waiting at the front of the mall, outside by the main entrance, when I finally saw Yunhyeong rushing over to me, all nice-looking as if ready for a date.

"Woah, that was quick! How'd you get here so fast? Oh and you look nice by the way, what's up?" I asked Yunhyeong as he appeared out of nowhere, greeting me tiredly.

He just shook his head and shrugged. "Never mind that. Why'd you call me over to meet you here?" Yunhyeong asked, trying to catch his breath.

I said nothing and simply pointed over at Seiyeon and Hanyeol who were off to the side all over each other.

He immediately understood. "She's dragging you along so she could use your car again?" I nodded.

"Aw, well sucks to suck. Good luck with that, my friend." He said, strutting away.

I grabbed him by the collar before he could get anywhere. "Where do you think your going? I asked for you over here so you could hang with me while Seiyeon buys her dress. Not so you could come over for a second to say 'sucks to suck' then leave. Where are you off to so eagerly anyway?" I asked him raising my eyebrows.

He ignored my question. "Why do you have to stay with Seiyeon anyway? Just tag along with us, and you can meet her later on when she's done."

"Who's 'us', Song Yunhyeong?"

He sighed and licked his lips nervously. "Ok, truth is, hyung, I'm supposed to be on a date with Joy right now, alright? When you called me over, we'd already been here for an hour and I just- I had to leave her behind so I could assure you."

"Ok, first of all, date? What are you two now? Second, I am not assured, boy. How can I be when you're just leaving me here? Song Yunhyeong, I-"

"Hey losers! Look, who I bumped into on the way here!" I jumped as Joy and Lei suddenly popped up from behind Yunhyeong, linked arm in arm. He was surprised as well, and glared at Joy as he jumped at the two's appearance.

"God, what's going on?!" I yelled in frustration.

"I'd like to ask the same thing. This was supposed to be a date- just you and me, Joy," Yunhyeong whined at her.

"Wait, date? What happened at school between you two, the time I left. I didn't hear about no date, when I left you after school ended?" Lei exclaimed, pursing her lips. She left Joy's side and stood next to me as we both faced the pair, eye to eye.

"Well, that's because this boy finally had the courage to ask me on a date, but it was right after you left." Joy explained pointing over at Yunhyeong with her thumb.

Lei's expression softened and she smiled sweetly at them. Without hesitation she moved back to Joy's side, linking their arms once again.

"Yeah, what she said." Yunhyeong fired back, dropping his arm over Joy's shoulder, sticking his tongue out at me.

"Okay fine! I guess I'm beat, but I can't just leave Seiyeon. I'm supposed to stay with her to help her pick out her dress. My mom doesn't want her getting anything slutty like she did two years ago for her prom."

Yunhyeong chuckled, but I glared at him to stop. "Hey, I'm not joking. She wore that same dress, when she snuck into a club with her older friends."

"Okay, I get your point, but what am I supposed to do, dude?" He pulled me to the side away from the girls and lowered his voice. "It's my first date with Joy dude, and I want it to be a special one. She's the first girl I've actually really really liked, and I don't want to just wing this one. What do you want me to do?"

I sighed and licked my lips, uncomfortably.

I could see how important this was to Yunhyeong and decided to let him go. He's my best friend. I can't just expect to bother him whenever I want to drag him along whenever I need anymore. So I won't.

"Okay, fine. Go on your date, boy. I'll take care of Lei and everything. Just...have fun and make her happy alright?"

He nodded and jogged back to the girls, immediately pulling Joy away and running off with her. I smiled intently at the two.

"Jeez, why is everyone pairing up? Am I right?" I said, chuckling. "Come on, Leilani Choi, you'll be with me for the rest of the day." I laughed to myself coming to realization with the irony.

"Wha-what?" She said, still confused, but followed me regardless as I made my way toward Seiyeon and Hanyeol who weren't bothered over the fact I was gone for a while.

Before I could make it there first, surprisingly, Seiyeon ran over to us, but not in my direction.

"No way! Is that Leilani Choi?!" She screamed and ran right over into Lei's arms, both with huge smiles on their faces.

"Why doesn't she hug me like that?" Hanyeol asked to no one in particular.

They walked over to Hanyeol and I arm in arm, still grinning widely. "Sup, Hanyeol." Lei greeted. They knew each other, because Hanyeol is on our school's soccer team with Bobby. I wasn't lying when I said Seiyeon dates younger guys.

"What is this?" I asked, confused.

"Bro, I am so inviting Lei to the party." Seiyeon said excitedly.

"Well, she was already on the invitation list...I hope you knew that." I muttered, not loud enough for anyone to hear.

"Jinhwan, you did not tell me your sister Seiyeon was Kim Seiyeon, the Seiyeon I know!" Lei screeched, excitedly.

"Well what other Kim Seiyeon do you know?"

"A lot actually, you'd be surprised."

"Well, how do you two even know each other?" I asked, oblivious to the situation.

"Dude, your sister was on the soccer team the same year Lei and I was in our Freshman and Sophomore year. That's how I met Seiyeon. Why is this new to you?"

Did I ask you, cunt?

I would've said that if Hanyeol wasn't like ten times bigger and stronger than I was so instead I shrugged and waved them off as we finally entered the mall altogether, with the girls leading in the front, and me and Hanyeol in the back.

After some twists and turns and a couple of stops by other interesting stores, we finally arrived to the Dress and Suit shop Seiyeon wanted to get her dress at.

"Woah! Everything's so elegant and gorgeous in here!" My sister squealed, jumping excitedly.

Lei ran to the first dress she saw and brought it over. "Oh my god, eonnie, this would look great on you!"

I snatched it from Lei, before she could say anymore and shoved it to Seiyeon. "There. Satisfied, noona? Now let's go, please." I said and started to walk over to the lady at the counter, pulling out my wallet.

"Are you serious? You act like I'm just going to grab a dress and get out of here. I wanna try a couple on before I choose the perfect one, alright?" Seiyeon said, stopping me.

I stomped my feet and whined, attracting attention. I could care less though. If Lei wasn't there I would've even taken the initiative of wrapping myself around Seiyeon's legs, begging her for us to leave already.

"But whyyyy, noona? We're going to be stuck here for hours if you try on even one dress!" I yelled at her.

Lei and Hanyeol continued to stay out of it, just laughing once in awhile.

Seiyeon began to get annoyed and conscious of the people now giving death glares at us, so she gave in a bit only. "Okay, give me an hour! Or even less. I promise you. Just three dresses, alright? I want to pick and try on at least 3 outfits and we're out of here! Okay?"

I nodded cheerfully and she licked her lips in frustration, taking Lei by the hand and stomping over to a certain section to go look for dresses.

"Why doesn't she take me by the hand and drag me around like that?" Hanyeol poured.

I eyed him and glared in disgust. "Gosh, you have such low standards, my dude," I said walking ahead of him.

What does Seiyeon see in this guy?

•~•

Bobby's POV:

"What do you see in him? I just don't get it." I asked Rose, slightly getting annoyed at this point.

"What do you not get? One, he's hot as fuck, two, he's bomb at rapping, and three, he's hot as fuck."

We'd probably been looking at this one rapper guy on Rose's phone for a while now just arguing about him and Rose's love for him.

"Well, I'm pretty sure I can fit both those categories, Rose. This B.I. guy isn't all that special."

She laughed hysterically. "So you can rap?"

"Hell yeah."

"Well then, no one's stopping you. By all means, show me what you got, MC Bobby."

I stood up and exaggeratedly cleared my throat before beginning.

"Bobby's the name, and all I got is game
So I'm calling out this B.I. dude
And I'mma put him to shame."

"Pfft that was-"

"Shh! I'm not done yet, babe. Save it for later," I shushed her and she just laughed.

"This kidd may also have bars
All the luxe and looks like Presley
But the one thing he doesn't have that I do
Is this special lady sitting right in front of me."

Rose's nose scrunched cutely at my last line and clapped loudly.

I held up my finger in her face again. "Babe, what did I tell you, I'm not done!" I whined and finally continued.

"So this bitch ass jerk better not-"

Rose held up her hand and waved her hands for me to stop. "Nope, nope, you're done! You've proved your point, dude!"

I laughed and sat back down next to her, picking Rose up and placing her on my lap, with her legs wrapping around both my sides.

"You didn't need to do that, idiot. I already love you the way you are. And after that I may even more," Rose sweetly said cupping my face in her small hands.

"You really mean it? You really mean that you love me the way I am?" I asked seriously, smile fading a little. I placed my hand on her thigh and slid my fingers up and down her flawless skin. She squirmed at my touch, and flicked me in the forehead.

"Of course silly."

"You mean...even with these bruises on my face and these scars on my body." I looked down, shamefully and leaned my head on Rose's chest.

She placed her fingers by my chin and lifted my face up, so I was able to look her in the eye. "Yes, of course. Why wouldn't I?"

"'Cause it's a bit burdensome, don't ya think?"

"No not at all, Bobby."

I just shook my head and frowned. I felt bad, doing this to her. I already know she's stressed about this deep inside. I know that she wants to do something about my father, but knows that I won't let her.

"Hey...I'm worried about you. What are we gonna do?" She asked.

"No, not 'we'. I don't want you to have to do anything with this. This is all me; these are all my problems, alright? I know you've already got a lot going on with you and your own family, and I don't want to add to that weight. Okay?"

"But you're-"

"Rose, listen to me. I love you as much as your own self. That's why I don't want to be dragging you into any of this. You want to help me? The only thing you can do is stick by the sidelines and cheer me on. The only way I can go on happily is if I solve these problems with my father alone. Alright?"

I took her hand in mine, intertwining our fingers. She nodded, tears almost coming out of her eyes that hadn't come to my attention earlier.

"Hey, no need to cry, princess. No need to worry, either. I just know everything is going to go well in the end."

<<a/n:  princess??? damn, that's a new one bobby. ;)>>

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I can handle it. I got this far, alive and well, didn't I? And you know, yourself that says a lot."

Rose nodded, and wiped away the drops by her eyes before they fell down her cheeks. "My mom used to say that time flies by past...But we'll never be able to soar on it if we keep letting the devil break its wings. I never got what she meant by that. But now I do, and I wish I hadn't gotten through what I had to, to realize it."

I chuckled suddenly as I thought about what she said.

Her brows furrowed as she looked down at me, confused. "What, is that saying too complex for your tiny little brain?"

"No, it's not that, I totally get it. I just...used to know someone that used to say something like that as well. His name was Seonwoong, but in North America he went by Daniel."

<<high-key hope y'all know who I'm referring to here. lol I'm trying so hard to give hints, especially with the saying>>

"Hm...you never mentioned him. Distant uncle?" Rose asked as she ran her fingers through my hair.

"Well, I guess you could say that. We were close enough for me to call him that. He has the cutest daughter ever that I used to babysit in America," I said, expression changing to all smiles. "He used to take care of me as well when I'd get locked out of the house by my father on late nights. He was like a younger, cooler version of Appa when things had changed. Since we lived in the same neighborhood, I'd often visit him, his wife, and daughter. They never minded; they knew how hard things were for me then."

Rose just stayed silent and listened to me go on as she ran her fingers through my hair continuously. It felt relaxing and it sure helped.

"Do you miss them? Do you miss your second home?" Rose asked.

I sighed and hugged her tightly around the waist. "Of course I do. But they're not in America anymore. Before I left by myself to escape to my aunt, I'd found out they moved out here to Seoul."

"Well that's great! Have you visited them at all since you got back?"

I shook my head and my shoulders slumped. "Not really. I'm too scared to. But I know where to find them. They live in that really nice apartment complex down in the city...I just feel like it won't be the same as before. Seonwoong has a whole family to take care of and his career. I don't want to burden them again."

"Hey...you need to stop thinking like this, alright? I know you may think that leaning on someone once in a while is a bad thing but it's not. Bobby you need to understand that there are people out there that really care for you - take this Seonwoong guy and me for example - and if these people really love and care for you, they will not think of you as a burden. And we don't at all."

I smiled and pinched her cheeks lightly. She slapped my hands away swiftly and I giggled. "What was that for?"

"Nothing. Just...how is it that you always know what to say?"

"Pft, 'cause I'm the best girl friend/best friend ever."

I nodded and pulled Rose in closer to me. "Yes you are. And I love you with all my heart."

"I love you too, Kim Jiwon."

"Mmm, gimme a kiss, baby girl."

And so Rose did and received an even deeper one back.

So there we were, all cuddled up in each other's embrace all comfortable on the couch. It wasn't late, but we both were already so close to falling asleep just like that. It'd been a long day, and a long week. But I was just glad to be with Rose by the end of the day, safe and sound from all the problems in the world. For now.

a/n: thanks so much for 7 hunned yall! :)))

Q: anyone else annoyed by the newbie ARMYs lately? I'm sorry if this relates to you, but they're really getting on my nerves, not internet ones as much, but fans I know personally.  I just hate how some of them are too much and don't know their place in the fandom. I can say this because I started 3 years ago, and I'm sorry if I offend you but it's all true. This isn't really good, but it honestly makes me sad knowing BTS is getting more popular. Like you can say I'm exaggerating, but now whenever I find people are into kpop, the first thing that comes up is BTS BTS. Whatever happened to Shinee, Infinite, Teen Top, BAP, etc. yall. They're still there just not as mentioned and appreciated as much. I miss them.
