As I walked up to the four of them with Leilani, all their attention turned toward me and her.
"Hey guys. So you remember Leilani right? Leilani Choi. I was just wondering if it was cool for her to hang with us from now on. Just because." I winked at Lei and faced back to the small group of four.
They all smiled at her and greeted her warmly. I was glad as I saw their quick reactions.
"Hey, Lei!" Joy said cheerfully, hugging her. They already knew each other, so there were no problems at all between the two.
"Of course that is definitely fine with me. A pretty lady is always welcome in our presence." Yunhyeong said winking at Lei. She just looked at him weirdly until Bobby slapped him on the neck.
"Ignore him, he's too much. But allow me to introduce myself. I'm Kim Jinhwan." The oldest, but shortest of the boys stepped forward and took out his hand for Lei to shake. She didn't accept it. Lei just gave him a blank look then laughed.
"Jinhwan, it's me Leilani. I already know you. I know all of you; since 7th grade actually. Did you seriously forget about me over the years?" She said, smiling.
I'm honestly so amazed though how cool she can act around them. Earlier she was no nervous and full of anxiety.
Jinhwan just shot a stupid look and laughed awkwardly. Bobby just nodded and smiled at Lei and she waved. She's so cool and chill with everyone she meets. Why can't I be like that?
The six of us hung out the rest of the lunch. Although I didn't get the alone time I longed for, it was still fun to be with the five of them. Like I had told Lei.
Eventually the bell rang, and we parted our different ways to our separate classes. This would be the last day in these class setups, but I didn't think much of it because I would have a better schedule starting tomorrow.
Before I walked off by myself, Lei stopped in front of me. "Hey I'll be seeing you at soccer practice today, right?" She asked looking very hopeful.
"Oh yeah of course. I'll see you there," I told her awkwardly smiling.
"Alright then, She's back!" As she walked away, she yelled again and again "MVP MVP MVP!" while pumping her fist in the air. Oh my god why?!
As soon as there was no sight of her anywhere, I turned my back and said to myself, "Shit! Soccer practice! I forgot all about soccer practice." I groaned and pulled out my phone to call my mom to drop off my soccer stuff before I left for class.

"Ok girl, I know this is all new to you, and you're dying to know everything that's been going on between Bobby and I, but I can't right now. I have soccer practice and I've missed a lot already so I can't be slacking."
I was alone in the girl's locker P.E. room, talking to Joy on the phone as I struggled to put on my shin guards, socks, cleats on, one-handedly, without tripping over myself. She was so eager to be updated on the "Bobby Drama" going on ever since she found out about our 'date'. Fuck you and your big mouth, Song Yunhyeong.
But I was fine with it anyway, because I had nothing to hide from her as a best friend. Plus after I fill her in on my love life, I can start asking her about Yunhyeong. Hopefully I can get both of them to confess that they like each other.
"Ok fine. But you are seeing me after practice ok? This is important shit that's going on right now. Plus I feel kinda bad for Lei. Maybe we can all hang out after you guys' practice and have a little midweek sleepover. That would be great." She said, getting a little ahead of herself.
