Jinhwan's POV:

"Baby, does this make me look fat?" Seiyeon asked Hanyeol as she continuously turned in the mirror to check herself out.

"No, sweetheart. Everything looks gorgeous on you. Just like what I said about the last dress, and the dress before that, and the dress before that, and the dress before that, and the dress before that..." Hanyeol trailed off, tiredly.

I snorted, accidentally almost falling asleep for like the fifth time. I literally wanted to cry at the moment. "Noona..." I whispered weakly, almost in tears. "You said three dresses. Three dresses, noona...It's been 3 hours." There, I began to choke up and the salty drop of water fell from my eye down to the bottom of my chin. "...and you still haven't chosen a dress. I've been sitting in this tiny cushioned stool grudgingly watch you try on dresses only to insult yourself." Then my tears turned to sobs and I totally lost it.

Hanyeol handed me a tissue from who knows where, but I gratefully took it.

She sighed and walked over to me. "I'm sorry."

"Do you really mean it?" I asked lifting my head.

"Nope." Seiyeon said giggling and stepped into the dressing room with another dress. Lei followed her in to help her out like every time ignoring the sad state of older-sister-itis depression I was in. Like every time.

"NOONA!" I whined once more but stopped as her head popped out of the door.

"Just hold on, okay? We're almost done here."

"You said that an hour and a half ago!" I yelled in exasperation.

"No, but lil' bro I really think this is the one." She whispered enthusiastically behind the door.

I just nodded my head obviously not going to believe her. I looked down at the ground still wiping my tears.

When suddenly I spotted two familiar pale legs in dazzling heels standing in front of me and Hanyeol. I looked up to see Seiyeon in a dress gorgeous as she. It was a subtle pink-lavender flowing gracefully down to her ankles with a half-sheer top lined with twinkling gems.

"Noona..." I whispered speechless. "You look- you look beautiful. Take as long as you want in there, I'm getting comfy up in this stool cushion."

She smiled sweetly at me and ruffled my hair. I admired her beauty in awe for a few more seconds, until I heard sniffling beside me.

I turned to Lei and choked, taken aback. "Are you crying?!" I asked her, oblivious of why she was in sudden tears.

"She just...looks so beautiful." Lei giggled, quickly wiping her tears.

"Aw, thanks love." Seiyeon said sweetly.

"Weren't you literally just in the the room with her?" I asked her but she ignored me still admiring Seiyeon's pure beauty.

Lei grinned widely, eyes twinkling adorably. I shivered as unfamiliar thoughts of her creeped up to the back of my mind as I eyed her for a second. I quickly pushed them away.

"Why don't you try somethin' on?" I asked Lei, flicking a hair out of her face. She just shook her head, looking down at the ground.

"You might as well, while we're here, sweetheart. It's still gonna be a while. No matter what you tell this girl, she's still going to walk out of here unsatisfied no matter how many dresses she tries on and compliments she receives." I glanced at Seiyeon to see if she was about to smack me or something but instead I spotted her off to the far wall showing off her dress to Hanyeol.

"Nah, I don't really feel like shopping right now. I already got a bunch of shoes earlier with Joy, plus this store's a bit pricey."

I paused and admired the way her hair fell gracefully, covering a part of her face as she kept her eyes glued to the ground. I hesitated at first, but pushed the hair out of her face, revealing the mole below her left eye that drove me crazy. I didn't know why I was feeling like this at the moment, and acting this way toward her.

Looking up at me, startled, she flushed red at my touch and I immediately pulled my hand away. I attempted again to break the silence once more.

"No, come on. I got a lot of money with nothing to spend it on, and it'd be a pleasure of mine to use it on you. Plus, I still kind of owe you for that Almond Alien ice cream at Menji's." I said chuckling.

She shook her head again and I rolled my eyes. I took her hand and pulled her up to her feet, dragging her off to an aisle with dresses that seemed her size and style.

I randomly picked out a nice, midnight-purple dress off a random rack and heels to match with. I looked over to Lei, who was still acting like a shy bunny, and shoved the dress and heels to her.

She looked up at me and took the dress and heels, only to put it back on the rack.

"No, Jinhwan, stop I couldn't. I don't need you to buy a dress for me, alright?"

I sighed, but wasn't about to give up. I don't know why I was being so persistent about this.

"Hey, it's alright. It's something I want to do for you. Plus, I assume you haven't got a dress for yourself for the party yet, am I right?" I pressed, as we neared the dressing rooms once again.

"I mean not really-"

"Well then get in there, try that dress on, and dazzle me girl!" I said enthusiastically trying to loosen the tense mood, pushing the dress and heels back to her.

She just pouted, obviously trying to hide a smile and I shoved her into the nearest dressing room.

"Go on in, Lei! Surprise me!" I said wiggling my hands at her in excitement.

She lightened up a bit and giggled at my weirdness, before she closed the door to change.

I sat back down on the cushioned stool like earlier, sighing in relief. I don't know why I just did that...but I just did that. I guess maybe I think Lei-

"BOO!"

"Aaahhh! What the hell, man?" I screamed as I looked up at Seiyeon who appeared in another dress, not as pretty as the other one but still pretty.

"Gotchu." She laughed, ruffling my hair.

"What was that for?" I grumbled as she sat down on the tiny seat with me, purposely bumping me off a bit to make room.

"You were in a daze, it was the perfect timing," she grinned. "What were you thinking about anyway, huh, l'il bro?"

I shook my head. "It's nothing..."

"I think I have an idea."

"Oh really?"

"Lemme take a wild guess, but...you like Leilani."

I pushed her off the seat and growled as her as soon as her words met my ears.

"Hey, what was that for?" She snapped, angrily at me.

"Why would you assume that?! She's my friend!"

"I mean...well you never denied it," she said grinning widely as she stood up.

"Well, I never said I did either!" I fired back in annoyance.

"So you're confused," she piped cheerfully. "You don't know what you're feeling about her, but you know it's something. And whenever those feelings come up, you push them away because you think you're not ready. At least we know you've finally gotten over, Rose."

"How'd you even know about that?" I asked curiously. I wasn't even going to defend myself at this point. She's my older sister, and I kind of liked being able to talk to Seiyeon like this.

"What, you mean about you liking Rose?"

"Not, just that. Everything you just said."

She shrugged. "Wild guess. I've lived with you for 18 years Jinhwan, you're pretty easy to read. Plus Yunhyeong fills me in on everything when he's bored. Oh and by the way, you should really get it fixed. Is it really supposed to look like that?"

I punched her in the arm and growled at her again. "I don't even remember telling him about that." I choked, in horror.

Seiyeon laughed hysterically.

"Ugh, why don't you go to Hanyeol or something? He's been nagging all day about how you don't show him enough affection. 'Why doesn't she hug me like that?'," I mocked, chuckling.

"I sent him to the food court to get smoothies for all of us."

I gave her a thumbs up and pretended to be busy on my phone. She pulled it out of my hand as soon as I took it out. That bitch.

My mouth dropped open as I stared at her in utter surprise.

"So talk to me. You and Leilani. What are you going to do about that?"

"Well, what am I supposed to do?" I asked shyly. "I don't even for surely know if I like her."

"Okay then...I won't force it. But when the time comes, and you've made your decision, be true with her. Take your chances, and don't regret them. And be good to her too, because I don't care if you're my brother, I will pound you if you hurt Leilani." She said jokingly (hopefully), punching me in the arm lightly.

I nodded and grinned at her. "You know, thanks Seiyeon. You're the best sister ever. Despite how much you make me cry in a day, good things and bad."

"I love you, l'il bro." She said dropping her arm over my shoulder.

I smiled and leaned my head on her shoulder. "I love you too, Noona...And I-I-I'm gonna miss you when you leave for America." I whispered, my eyes watering. I suddenly hugged her tightly, the tears finally dropping down from my eyes.

Seiyeon began to quietly sob as well. "Jinhwan, you're the best brother I've ever had, I-"

"Babe, I got the- what the hell? Why don't you hug me like that?"

Seiyeon automatically pushed me off and wiped her tears as Hanyeol suddenly appeared out of nowhere with our smoothies. I mocked him again, but they just both ignored me.

"Come here, you weirdo," Seiyeon said smiling at him with her arms open. He happily embraced her and grinned widely, picking her off the floor.

That is, until she started to smack him on the shoulder. "Yah, stop that, you might mess up the dress, you reckless idiot!" Hanyeol softly put her down, his happiness which quickly escalated just seconds ago now down the trash.

I laughed at him, unable to control it at all. And I wouldn't stop until I heard the click on the lock of the door to the dressing room. I immediately straightened myself and prepared myself for Lei to come out.

And out she went, shyly walking up to us in the dress and heels I picked for her.

Everything went silent as soon as she became noticed. I gulped as I admired the way the dress visibly shaped every curve of her body down from her chest to her hips. And with the slit on the side that revealed her flawless skin all the way up halfway to her left thigh- it was just too much of a tease.

I choked when Seiyeon called my name, noticing my very long stare at Lei's gorgeous self. "Oh, huh?"

"What do you think, eonnie?" She asked Seiyeon timidly.

Seiyeon smiled in awe at her cuteness. "Leilani Choi...you look-"

"Amazing..." I blurted out, not taking my eyes off of her.

"Took the words out of my mouth, Jinhwan," Seiyeon said smirking.

Lei blushed subtly and let out a shy 'thanks'.

"I'm so buying you that dress." I muttered to myself.

"Hm?" Lei asked obliviously.

I stood startled, and both Hanyeol and Seiyeon burst out laughing in my direction.

"Never mind that. You wanna go buy it now? 'Cause you look great." I asked eagerly.

She gave me an unsure look. "Really? Well, I don't know really. I was kind of thinking-"

"Nope, I'm buying that dress, sister. Now get back in there and stuff that thing in a bag before I change my mind." I said shoving her in like before.

She smiled at me before closing the door. After Lei got back into her regular clothes (Seiyeon too), still as beautiful as she was before, I walked with her and the other two to the cashier. After everything was paid for and carefully placed into exceptionally nice packaging we all walked out of the store together and sat down at a random relaxing area to drink our smoothies.

We all plopped down exhaustedly on the cushioned chairs with 'the couple' on one and Lei and I on another.

I watched Lei intently as she opened and closed her bag continuously to peek at her dress and shoes. I could tell she was excited.

"You like it?" I asked her tiredly, placing my hand over her knee.

I could tell she was startled at my sudden touch at first, but her excitement drowned it out and she nodded happily at me. "Of course, it's beautiful." Lei giggled, peeking once again.

"Good to hear then, 'cause that thing was almost 500 bucks." I said cracking up at her horrified expression.

"What?!"

I shook my head and grinned at how adorable she was acting. "No, no, don't even worry about it. Your dress's price wasn't even anywhere Seiyeon's." I said chuckling. I didn't know if I should laugh or cry at that point.

"Are you sure? I feel really bad, Jinhwan."

I shook my head once more and waved her off, resting my head on the side of the couch.

When suddenly...I felt two arms wrap around my waist tightly. I looked down to see it was Lei, hugging me, with her head resting on my chest comfortably.

I chuckled and smiled down at her as she looked up at me with those twinkling, mesmerizing eyes.

"What's all this for?" I asked her confused, but nonetheless I hugged her back hesitantly.

"Thanks, Jinhwan. Thank you so much. For everything. I'm glad to have a friend like you."

I winced at her use of 'friend' as she then pulled back to look at me.

"No problem. I was just glad to do all this for you."

"But why? Why go through all the trouble?"

...

I stopped at that point.

What was I supposed to say? Not like I knew what I was even saying now! Half the things I've done and said to her today have felt all too weird and unlike me.

I was confused. So I followed Seiyeon's advice. I took my chance.

"I did all that for you because...I of course wanted my date to the party look as stunning as she already is. Gentleman's courtesy?" I slipped out, trying to look as chill as possible.

She gave me a weird look I couldn't make out and sighed. "Date?"

"Yeah, why not?"

"Jinhwan, I-"

"Wait, don't say it yet. Just think about this as your way of paying em back. I'm sure spending that night with you is worth millions over $500."

"That's a sweet Jinhwan, but-"

I took her hand in mine in desperation and worry. "Lei, please. Do this for me. I need to figure something out for myself. Just give this chance I need to solve this whole puzzle of random emotions I'm feeling. Leilani Choi, I-"

My eyes widened as my lips suddenly came in contact with hers. I eventually found my pace and closed my eyes, ready to kiss back when she quickly pulled away.

"God, when do you shut up, Kim Jinhwan!" She exclaimed in annoyance. "I was never saying no from the beginning you hopeless idiot," Lei said giggling. She looked down as I stared at her flawless form in relief and content.

"So...what were you saying?"

"Well, before you got all deep and sentimental, I was going to pop out a simple 'sure' from the beginning. But now with everything said, I feel pressured to make a whole speech." I caressed her hand which was still held in mine, fitting perfectly.

"No need for words now, sweetheart. Enough's been said," I joked before I leaned in once more, desiring for her lips to meet mine again.

I closed my eyes, ready, until my lips met nothing but air. I opened my eyes and sighed in disappointment and embarrassment.

"Nope. Not now...or at least not yet." Lei piped, muttering the last part of her sentence, but loud enough that I could hear. "I don't want...any of this before you even figure yourself out. I don't want to just be a rebound or something again, Jinhwan. I don't want to be like Bobby or Rose, who began friggin making out days before they were officially together." We both laughed at the same time when that was said. "So when you do figure things out...and are sure, then just tell me. No need to make a whole speech or anything. Alright?"

I nodded and stood there awkwardly in front of her. We said nothing and it was pretty weird for a while.

Then we remembered Seiyeon and Hanyeol were still there, but when we looked over they were gone. Then I got a text from Seiyeon suddenly.

WE'LL BE IN THE CAR WAITING, LOSER. BTW WAY TO TAKE YOUR CHANCE LOL. PROUD OF YOU LIL BRO.

Well, truthfully I wasn't as proud of myself as I should be or as Seiyeon was at that moment. I think that conversation went pretty bad. But it was a good ending I guess.

"Alright, I guess we're going now." I told Lei, pulling her up to her feet.

When we eventually made it out of the mall and to my car we already spotted Hanyeol and Seiyeon in the front shyly hitting the edges of 2nd base. I gagged in disgust and covered Lei's eyes in consideration. Yup, total consideration. And she should've thanked me by the looks of how hot it seemed to be getting in there.

At least he got the affection he'd been whining about the whole day. Just a little too much of it, I should say.

I knocked loudly on the window, but no reply or even a breath of air from either of them came back as an answer. I groaned loudly going to my last resort. I pulled out my keys and clicked the Panic button, causing my car to blink and beep loudly over and over again. It was then that they finally got off each other in...well panic, and looked around to see what was going on.

When Seiyeon spotted me on the outside of the right window she glared, hair messy and shirt wrinkled, and opened the door. I figured she'd come out to yell at me but instead she took the keys, clicked off the panic button, hopped back in the car, and shut the door in my face.

I threw my hands in the hair in exasperation and banged on the window again until she rolled it down. "What are you doing just standing there?! Get in the back with Lei, you idiot."

"No, Hanyeol is not driving in my car!" I whined.

"Well, I've already got your keys and the spare keys that got us in here, so there's no one stopping him."

I looked over at Hanyeol, who really had no place in this argument. I could tell he was just still dazed from him and Seiyeon's 'interaction' like a minute ago.

Benefits of dating an older woman I guess? Just wish it wasn't my sister.

I stood there, analyzing my chances in getting back in the drivers seat, and they were dramatically slim. So I pointed over at Hanyeol and gave him a stern look.

"You better take good care of Shirley, boy." I said watching him like a hawk as I opened the door for Lei to hop in then entered myself.

"Since when did you name your car?" Hanyeol asked.

"Since now, cunt. Ooh, get on my level."

Lei laughed and Hanyeol just shook his head, trying to hold in his laughter.

As soon as we exited the Mall Plaza, we already hit traffic that spread throughout the city of Seoul.

"Ugh, god I hate traffic!" Hanyeol groaned.

I smirked at him through the mirror. "I am now content with my life, and grateful I am not the one driving right now," I mocked sticking a finger in the air.

Seiyeon took his hand in hers to calm him down and squeezed it tightly.

Damn, they are just on a roll aren't they? Lucky him! Feel my sarcasm?

"Jinhwan, why do you zone out so much like that? I always think your holding back rude thoughts in your head whenever you do that, like you're talking to someone on another side or something." I looked at Lei weirdly and ruffled her hair.

"Don't worry about it," I said shaking my head.

She nodded tiredly and yawned cutely.

"Tired?"

"Mhm," Lei muttered, eyes closed lazily.

I jumped in my seat a bit when she suddenly rested her head on my shoulder and cuddled my arm, snuggling closer to me.

And she said she didn't wanna be doing things like this, hmph.

"What was that?" Lei asked.

My eyes widened as I realized that she literally just responded to my inner thought.

"Uh...nothing, sweetheart. Just go back to sleep," I said caressing her cheek nervously.

Haha, you better watch yourself, loser.

I jumped as I heard another unwelcome voice in my head.

"Hey, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Lei looked up at me with tired eyes.

I just shrugged, pushing the thought out of my mind, and put my arm around her to hopefully take my mind off things. She went back to the position as before and I was finally able to relax a bit.

That is until I heard another voice, but this time I knew whose it was, as Seiyeon looked back at me with a smirk on her face.

<Jinhwan's> God, I really need to stop attending Mr. Lim's 'Seeking Your Inner Soul' classes, 'cause they fuck me up big time.

<Seiyeon> Haha, you bet they do...
