Betrayed. That was what I felt and I didn't know why. I knew something I didn't. I was floating in between conciousness. For a second I thought I'd heard Bone's voice calling my name.

It felt like I was in the deep depths of my mind. As if I was slowly coming down from a shock.  But what had shocked me so bad that even I was pulled into a deep slumber?

I felt like I was floating, a fizzy sort of feeling rushing through my body. Like all feeling was starting to come back to me. I heard a voice, then saw a dim light. My body didn't feel as heavy. I lifted my hand. Instantly, a warm, strong hand clasped mine.

I opened my eyes, adjusting to the light.

"What happened?" I heard myself say.

My vision was becoming clearer and clearer. Exept for a slight headache, I felt okay. I saw Bone slightly hovering over me.

"Bone, what happened?" I asked, sitting up a little.

"Seb bit you," Bone explained.

   I didn't really remember that.

"Seb marked you Mina," Bone said.

"Why?" I asked.

I knew somewhat of the mate's mark. I knew it was sacred, that's for sure.

"Whenever a mate mark his or her mate, it must be out of love. It also has to be consensual. Seb marked you without your permission, so your body is trying to reject it. Its like a war in your body. You body is trying to accept and reject the mark at the same time," Bone said.

I couldn't believe my ears. Seb knew this kind of thing was wrong! Or did he? It doesn't seem like Seb cares about others feelings, so why would he care about mine? I just can't believe he would stoop so low!

I tried to sit up, but a searing pain errupted in my shoulder. I cried out, Bone rushing to help me.

"It hurts!" I wailed, clinging to him.

"I know. Since your not a werewolf, it will take a bit longer to heal," Bone soothed.

"Ugh," I groaned out as Bone gently layed me back down.

"Since you are awake, I can ease the pain. I didn't do it yet, since I didn't know how you'd feel," Bone started.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I can give you some of my blood. Alpha blood has healing properties in it."

"Okay," I said, agreeing.

Without another word, Bone bit into his pointer finger, the blood beading out before dropping on the white blanket.

"Hurry and drink before it heals, you only need a little," Bone said.

Very gently,Bone supported my head as he brought his finger to my lips. I tasted the coppery taste, swallowing a little before Bone took his hand away. Already I felt better. All that was left of the pain was a slight throb.

"Why is it that something always has to happen. Why can't problems just go away?" I asked with a sigh.

"Its just how life is," Bone said.

"Where's Seb anyway?" I asked.

At the mention of Seb, Bone visibly tensed. He growled. The sound was animalistic, power emenated from Bone.

"That fucker is lucky he isn't dead!" Bone seethed making me flinch.

This side of Bone was rutheless.

"Seb touched what is mine! In ANY case, he would be dying a painful, slow death! Yet he is your mate. Moon Goddess only knows why!" Bone said.

He looked like he wanted to smash something. Probably would.

"Bone, there's something I want to tell you," I said.

Bone's eyes snapped to me. His hard look softened when our eyes locked.

"Yes love?" Bone answered, somewhat relaxed.

"Seb touched me-"

"WHERE!" Bone yelled.

I flinched back. I knew he wasn't yelling at me, but jeez he really didn't like the fact that Seb touched me.

"I think on my arm once or twice. I know that mates feel sparks when they touch. The strange thing is that when I touched Seb, I felt nothing at all," I explained.

    Bone froze.

"You felt nothing?"

"Nothing." I confirmed.

Suddenly, Bone picked me up, carrying me.I didn't ask where we were going. Something told me I already knew. We left the mansion, going towards the right to what looked like a barn.

   Bone carefully set me upright.

"Can you stand?" Bone asked, slightly worried.

I held his hand in reassurance.

"Yes, I'm okay," I said.

Bone smiled, leaning down to kiss my cheek.

Bone placed his hand on the wall. A keypad suddenly appeared. Bone typed in some numbers, and the wooden door opened. At least I thought it was wood, it was probably metal. Inside, it looked like a supernatural jailhouse. There were six large cells, three opposite to each other.

A sort of barrier kept them in. All kind if rugged, scary people were in there. I couldn't hear any of them, the barrier of the cell must be soundproof. Finally, we stopped in front of one cell.

Peering inside, I saw Seb laying against the wall. He looked terrible. Many cuts, bruises, and gashes marred his skin. He had a black eye and a patch of hair missing.

Bone growled ferociously, making Seb startle a little. He glared at Bone, but when he saw me his eyes became gleeful.

"How dare you smile! YOU'RE LUCKY YOU HAVE TEETH LEFT!" Bone yelled.

Seb just sat there, staring so much I looked away.

"Why are you pretending to be  a mate to Mina?" Bone questioned.

Still, Seb said nothing. Fed up, Bone reached above him, pressing a red button. Electricity bounced around in Seb's cell before hitting him. I looked away, only hearing Seb's cries.Bone grabbed my chin, forcing me to look.

"Look, you must see this," Bone said, not looking at me.

It frightened me. How calm Bone could look while torturing someone.

"WHY?!" Bone angrily seethed.

"They're coming," Seb said before passing out .

Bone growled in anger, clearly not done. Suddenly, we heard something strange.

"ROUGES!!"
