Chapter 16

     The next day Bone and I were attending a funeral.The rouges managed to kill one person. It was terrible I felt sick someone had to die. Yet I was thankful no one else died.

    The funeral was for a young man. His name was Davis, and he dreamed of becoming a pack warrior. Just seeing his picture, sadenned me. I was also nervous, this was really the first time in awhile that I made an appearance in front of pack members.

   It was a terrible time, yet I knew I had to come. A huge part of me felt terrible that I never tried to connect with anyone. I felt like I neglected them in terms of being there for the pack. The service was over, so now everyone was left to eat and mingle and talk about Davis.

   Bone and I were going around, offering our condolences. Finally, we made ut to Davis's mother. Her husband was holding her an she sobbed into his chest. Something within myself urged me to make it better. I went up to her, tapping her shoulder. She turned to me, her eyes widening.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry Luna my apol-"

"Please, call me Mina. Please refrain from using honorifics, you lost someone dear to your family and the pack. I'm so sorry for your loss. This should have never happened. I PROMISE this will NEVER happen again. We will find those responsible, I promise " I said holding her hands.

"Thank you Mina," she said, her eyes welling up.

    Before I knew it, I was hugging her. I felt terrible, no one should go through with this.

     After the funeral, Bone and I were walking back home.

"That was great what you said back there,"Bone said, grabbing my hand.

"I feel like I neglected everyone.You're the Alpha and I am going to be the Luna. Yet I haven't been acting like it. I feel like I let them down by not going around and just being a support. Weither its giving advice or something else," I said sighing.

"Mina, you are too hard on yourself," Bone said, a slight edge to his tone.

"No-Ahh!"

   Suddenly, Bone grabbed me, ponning me to his chest. He wraped an arm around my waist to keep me in place and gently grasped my chin, making me look in his eyes.

"My mate is not weak.You are a Luna. You had no idea how to fight a wolf, yet you did. You not only fought a huge creature, but you protected the barn so the prisoners wouldn't escape.Today you took the lead and eased a devestated mother's pain. Don't you dare doubt yourself! My mate is strong, beautiful, smart, brave, and caring " Bone said.

"Awwwwwww,"a collection of voices said.

  Bone and I sprung apart in suprise, seeing a large group of people.I blushed, while Bone waved at them. They bowed their heads slightly, then continued on with their lifes. Bone and I returned back home shortly.

  I was about to sit down in the large living room when a sudden pang of pain on my neck.

"Ah!" I grunted out, gritting my teeth.

"What is it?" Bone asked, instantly at my side.

"My neck,"I said, feeling better.

Well that was weird.

"Where Seb marked you," Bone said. 

"Bone, something isn't right!"I said frantically.

"Why, do you feel unwell?"

"No, like something is...off."

    I don't know how, but something was wrong. Off.

"Mina, stay here," Bone said, going to the door.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"To deal sith Seb. Something is wrong, I can feel it," he said, and with that he left.

   I waited for two minutes. Suddenly, Bone bursted through the door, cursing.

"What's wrong?"

"He's gone. Seb's gone, that's impposible, I checked on him before we left for the funeral.I'm going to check the cameras ," Bone said.

   As Bone went pass me, he grabbed my wrist and pulling me with him. He lead me to a room that looked like an office..The room had a large desk and things on top like a computer, paper, and other items.

   A map covered one wall, and on the left side of the room was a sitting area in front of a fireplace.Bone sat down at the desk, plopping me onto his lap. He locked his arms around my waist so I couldn't get up. I studied his face, he really looked perplexed.

"What are you thinking?" I asked, running my hand through Bone's soft hair.

"I am just kind of sick of everything. Being an Alpha is hard, I never wanted to, but my father forced me. My father forced me to go to another pack far away to train. It was drilled in my head to show no weakness. I was scared, I was book smart. So I had to learn how to be numb, to harden myself. It's an armor I don't know how to take off.Then, when I FINALLY found you, I had hoped that I could try to put doen my shield, drop my sword. I can't, because all of these people are trying to steal the only happiness I have," Bone said, smiling sadly.

"Bone-"

"Mina, you are my only source of security, love, happiness, and warmth. It enrages me, to know that people like Seb are trying to hurt you. I couldn't live anymore if you weren't here," Bone whispered.

"You won't ever have to, I will always be there for you. Bone I love you " I whispered.

   Bone'e eyes snapped to mine, his eyes wide.

"What?" he whispered.

"I am hopelessly in love with you to the point of no return. Mark me Bone," I said.

"What?" he said, his eyes glazing over.

"I want you to mark me, make me yours Bone," I said.

    Bone breathed in sharply, his eyes turning incredibly darker. Bone lifted me, my legs wrapping around his waist.In a flash, we were in his room.

"I love you too."

Oh mah gawd. I'm kinda glad I could get into Bone's past. See, he's not a heartless caveman. Also Im no writing any smexy time between these two cause its not my style.

So I was reading this AMAZING werewolf book right..And the book had like 2 chapters left until the author finished, but guess what? The book was updated like last year. I was so mad like come on. I know I go awhile without posting but seriously. On the othet hand idk this persons life or what goes on it it.

Anyways I would be so haply if you guys voted or commented cause I love ALL commenters(exept trolls). I do try to reply and read boks the person has.

Also I might publish a book Ive been working on, like the first three to four chapters. Since school is out I'll have WAY more time to update and write so that's good.
