♥Chapter 8♥

   I stood up. It was my sister Beth. She was the only person in my family I could rely on.

"Beth, what are you doing here?" I asked, tears threatining to spill.

   Beth walked over to me, enveloping me in a hug. I couldn't take it, I cried. I had missed Beth so much over these months, and now I got to see her again. The feeling was something I couldn't put into words.

"Bone called me, gave me a plane ticket to get here. He told me you were here and all this werewolf stuff. At first I didn't believe it, but like five minutes ago someone just turned right in front if me!"

   I chuckled at my older sister's exitement. She pulled away, looking at me.

"He also explained this mate thing, but I see now you are glowing! I know it has to be because of Bone," Beth said.

"Come on, lets go to my room," I said, dragging my sister with me.

  I didn't Bone to hear what I would say next. Well, he might hear because he has super hearing.  When we arrived in my room, I shut the door.

"Its actually not a fairy tale Beth."

"How, you guys are cute together!"

"Because of Bone, I was kidnapped. I feared him before I even met him! He then found me after brutually killing the people who took me. Then you know what he did? He kidnapped me! How could I love him?!"

"Well, maybe deep down you already do. If you don't, then I know you can love Bone," Beth reasoned.

"I don't want to be near him, yet I keep feeling this pulling sensation. I'ts like my heart won't listen."

"Hearts aren't supposed to listen. They mess up our desicions, make us fall in love with people. Our hearts never do what we want, but it gives us what we need to grow "

  I nodded, understanding her words. I knew where Beth was coming from. Yet, I just couldn't bring myself to knock down any more walls. I wasn't as kidnapped since my sister was here.

  Its not like I could leave either. That would hurt Bone. Suddenlt, I wanted to bang my head against a wall. Since when did I care. Oh right, this mate thing made me care. Yet, aside from the mate thing, deep down I cared.Darn.

"Are you guys okay?" Bone asked, knocking on the door.

  I froze immediately. I just really didn't want to face him.

"Yep," I mummbled, knowing he heard me.

  Immediately the door opened. Bone with all his sexy glory came striding towards me. I took a small step, that small action not going unnoticed. Bone gently pulled me to him, wrapping an arm around my waist.

"Ooooh! "Mate Life" in action!" Beth squealed.

"Hey Beth, do you mind if I talk to Mina?" Bone asked.

"Oh yeah sure, go for it. Get your mate groove on. No doing anything dirty!" Beth yelled as she shut the door.

  My face heated with emberrasement. I shook myself away from Bone, putting distance from us.

"What is it?"

"I just wanna know how you feel about Beth being here."

"Well, it makes me happy, like I'm less of a prisnor," I said.

   Bone sighed, pushing his black hair from his face.

"Mina, you are NOT a prisoner. I just couldn't let you leave without you knowing the consequences if you did," Bone said.

"So, I could leave now?" I asked.

  Briefly, hurt flashed in Bone's eyes.

"No, but if you do we both die. Its your choice."

  I didn't need to think about it. I HAD to stay. That would be killing myself, and Bone. I couldn't hurt him like that.

"I'm staying," I whispered.

  Bone looked st me for a few seconds. His gaze became even more heated. I looked away, his eyes burning into me. I didn't see it coming when Bone kissed me.

When I say kissed, I mean he really kissed me. Bone kissed me like I was his air. I almost felt weak in the knees. Bone pulled away, pulling me to my bed to sit.

  He held my chin gently, making it so I couldn't look away.

"I will never hurt you, Mina. You don't have to say this back, but I love you. With everything I am, I love. I promise to protect you. You are the only thing I want, need."

  Before I could respond, Bone had kissed me on the cheek, and was out the door. I sat there stunned. Tears welled up in my eyes. I had always longed for someone to say that, and really mean it. I knew Bone meant it.

  I knew I had to do something. Even if I didn't live Bone, I would.I care so much for him. He has to know. I raced out of my room. I reached the bottom sreps, stopping in my tracks.

  Bone was kissing a girl. Another girl, right after he said he's bever hurt me.
