"You ready?" Lydia asked as she applied the final layer of mascara.
"Uh-yeah!"
I was wearing skinny black leather jeans, a white crop top and a leather jacket. I straightened my hair and back combed the top just a tiny bit to give it a little volume. I didn't go OTT with the makeup. Little fondation, Liquid eyeliner, mascara, little blusher and lip balm.
Lydia wore a skater skirt, also a white crop top and a dirty pig beanie. Her hair was in natural curls and she wore pretty much the same make up that I was wearing except she didn't wear blusher.
"Come on then! Dads dropping us off." She told me, while picking up her phone.
"Is Jess Coming?"
"Um, no! She's not well.." She told me while taking my hand and dragging me down stairs.
"Wait. My phone." I quickly ran back to get my phone and joined Lydia once again down stairs.
"You ready?" Dad asked, picking up his keys, that had one too many key rings on it, from the keys hook by the front door.
"Where's mum?" Lydia asked, while poking her head into the living room. Dad looked very unsure of what to say.
"Erm.. she's at Karens." He told us as he opened the front door. "If any boys come near you tonight by the way, they won't live to see tomorrow." Dad warned as he locked the front door.
"Dad!" Lydia whined as we got into the car. Lydia in the front, me in the back seat, and of course, dad driving.
"What! You're my little girls." I smiled at his cuteness as I fastened my seatbelt as dad and Lydia fastened there's also.
"Aw cute." Lydia bluntly but jokingly said. "don't forget to drop us around the corner from the house please." She reminded him.
"Yes your heinous." He giggled and winked at me through the mirror. She playfully hit his arm and gasped. I just chuckled at them winding each other up. They always do it.
As the car started I turned my attention to the window. I wasn't looking forward to seeing Nathan. I was also debating whether I should still have a 'chat' to Nora. A chat meaning that I confront her and probably end up slapping her. Yeah, sure. Maybe Nathan does deserve a lot better than her. But What as he ever done for me? He's always been a prick towards me. Well, not always. I sighed sadly but quietly at my thought. He always asks, "What have I done for you to hate me so much." Thinking it's me who started it. All of it. When really it's his doing. Yeah, he can be really sweet, funny, generous and caring. Yeah he's really good looking, with his piercing green eyes and the way his hair is always styled into that perfect quiff that suits his hair perfectly and-
"Lucy?" I got called out of my thoughts. got a little carried away there. "You ok?" She mouthed. I simply nodded and turned my attention back outside. It was dark and the sky was full of grey. It was probably about to rain. Typical british weather. I can't remember the last time we had the happy, warm sun. March, maybe April time? It's always the same. Early warm weather, shit summer. I'm so used to the cold sun, I've forgotten what the warm one feels like.
The car came to a holt and Lydia got out. "Come on then." I unfastened my belt and leant over the front seat and gave my dad a kiss on the cheek and quickly got out.
