"Good luck." I smiled to Lydia while she was just about to leave for her first day back at collage. She was wearing a beanie that said "Whatever." On it. She loves beanies. Shes got thousands of them.
"Thanks.." She replied nervously, I gave her a reassuring look and unlocked the door for her while she put crisps into her bag.
"Do you ever stop?" I joked while watching her put the food into her bag. "You eat and eat. Do no exercise and yet you still stay skinny?"
"I love food. You eat a lot too." She defended herself while buckling the bag up.
"Yes but unlike you Lyds I actually exercise." I defended myself also.
"Now that's a lie. You haven't once exercised while we've lived in London." She looked at me with a you know I'm right look. I smirked at her and opened the door.
"I don't know where the gym is." I told her while she giggled.
"Excuses. Ask Nathan to show you. He goes all the time." Ask Nathan? Is she actually being serious. I shook my head. "I'll ring him now." She took her phone out and began to ring him.
"Lydia, you better put the phone down or you won't live to see your new collage." I glared at her while she smirked. I heard a slight voice say hello in the background.
"Nathan?" She started. I ran up to her and tried to take the phone off her but she ran away while still talking.
"Do you fancy showing Lucy where the gym is? She misses it."
"Lydia." I shouted quietly.
"Great. Yeah that's what I said." She looked at me and grinned.
"Ok she'll see you after."
She put the phone down and leant against the counter in the kitchen as that's where I chased her too.
"Bitch" I scoffed.
"Oh come on. It can't be that bad Luce. Besides. You need to learn to get along."
"But he's a prick." She looked at me slightly and hesitated to say something but backed down. "What?" I snapped.
"Don't worry." She started walking back towards the front door.
"Lydia?" I warned As her hand met the door handle. She turned around and waited a few moments before she started to speak.
"Nathan is a great fucking guy Lucy. He's so kind. Maybe he's a little arrogant and full of himself but he's not a bad guy. But you wouldn't know that would you because you won't give him a chance. Last month you said you would. What happened? Say? You're just to stubborn." She basically shouted at me before she opened the door. "I'm going." She snapped and left while slamming the door behind her. I was stood there completely speechless. I was just staring at the door in shock.
"Lucy?" My mum snapped me back to reality.
"Uh- yeah?"
"You ok?" She asked, obviously heard what just went on. I nodded my head as she made her way down the stairs to me then wrapped her arms around me.
"Am I a bad person?" I asked. Maybe Lydia was right. All this time I thought he was the one to hate. But really, it's me. I'm to stubborn to give him a chance.
