I've been lying here for hours, completely motionless. Staring out of the window into the now dark street. The room was dark, but had a small dim light from the street lights outside shinning in. My body was aching all over. Thankfully Nora didn't mark my face, but left horrible bruising up the left side of my stomach. I've never experienced something so painful and achy. I was telling myself that I needed to get it checked out. But what if they asked me how I got it? I wasn't prepared to tell them and get a repeat of today.
I got interrupted in thought by a knock on the door that made me jump.
"Lucy?" Nathan called while entering the room slowly. "Lucy, you awake."
"Please go away.." I managed to force out into a whisper.
"What? Why?"
"Please, just go." I pleaded.
"No.." He chuckled saracstically. "Are you ok?" He asked as he sat on the edge of the bed. The bed tilted slightly, the movement of the bed put a little pressure of the ache in my stomach. I simply pinched my eyes together until it stopped. "Lucy?" He asked again. I kept silent. I wasn't risking it. I can't go through this amount of pain again. It's too much. "What have I done now?" He raised his voice a little.
"Please don't shout." I whispered, as my head was already spinning.
"Then tell me why you're being so blunt with me.."
"I don't think we should see each other anymore Nathan..." I quickly blurted out.
He was quiet for a second. I couldn't tell how he took it as I wasn't facing him. my focus was still at the window. "You don't mean that." He told me.
"I'm Sorry." I sighed.
"Lucy.." He questioned while I felt his body leaning towards me from the way the bed started to tilt. The ache quickly came back. But he reached his hand on and touched my hip, and touched my bruised skin a little. I yelped out in pain as I felt a strong shooting pain appear. The pain was unbearable. "Woah. What's wrong."
"Please remove your hand.." I said quietly through the tears that were ready to escape from the pain.
"Why? What's wrong.."
"Nothing. Just please move your hand Nathan." He slowly moved his hand away, but not away from my body. He reached down to the hem of my t-shirt and he pulled my t-shirt up. Revealing the heavily bruised skin. I gasped quickly and sat up, causing another strong pain. I once again cried out in pain.
"Lucy. What the fuck happened." He whispered, sounding generally concerned.
"I-I uh- fell." I lied. Not even believing myself.
"Come on, I'm taking you to the hospital."
"I don't fucking think so." I snapped at him. No way was i going to the hospital.
"Please. For me? You could have damaged something." I looked up into those piercing green eyes of his and sighed. I simply nodded and held out a hand to indicate he had to help me up. He stood up from the bed and slowly lifted me up off the bed. Any sudden movement would cause a lot of pain run through that area. He kept his hand out for me to hold onto for support as we headed for the stairs. Every step I took made my stomach ache. But It was bearable.
"Oh my. Love what happened?" Karen asked as we approached the bottom of the stairs.
"I fell.." I lied.
"I'm taking her to the hospital.." Nathan smiled while he kept leading me to the door.
"Oh, ok. Keep me updated."
He helped me out into the car and I managed to get into the car without too much trouble.
The drive was silent, I wasn't in the mood to speak.

"Miss Pond, please tell me again how you got this bruising." The nurse asked politely and sympathetically. I really didn't want to talk about it so I kept silent.
"She fell.." Nathan answered for me. I shot him a quick grateful smile but then looked away. She gave him a confused look. She looked genuinely concerned.
"I'll be right back." She quickly got up and ran out of the room.
"Thanks.." I forced out and smiled at Nathan.
"Why didn't you answer?" He quickly asked.
"I just don't like being under pressure," I smiled. He stood up and took a seat next to me on the soft hospital bed.
"If anything happened to you, you would tell me.. Yeah?" He asked while grabbing my hand. I looked up into the bright green orbs that he called his eyes.
"Nathan, look. I haven't been completely honest with you." I sighed while putting my forehead against his. I don't know if I wanted to tell him but I knew I ha to. "It's-"
"Um. Mr Sykes can you give us a moment." The nurse asked while reentering the room. He nodded and swiftly walked out the door, "Miss pond?"
"Please call me Lucy.." She smiled a little but then quickly knocked the smile away.
"Lucy. Has anyone hurt you?" My heart completely stopped.
"N-No I fell.."
"Lucy, the x rays have shown that these bruises have been inflicted on you. Is everything ok at home?"
"Yes everything is fine." I snapped. As soon as I did I heard shouting from outside the room. Then Nathan barged through the door.
"Lucy! Tell them I didn't do it." By then two police officers came running in after him. I paled a little when the one held Nathan back from coming any closer to me.
"Nathan Sykes you're under arrest for the assault of Lucy pond. Anything you-"
"NO!" I shouted as Nathan struggled to break free of the over sized police officers.
"Miss Pond we have the evidence-"
"It wasn't him." My voice cracked a little and Nathan stopped struggling, to see what I had to say.
"It was Nora.."
