"Lucy, Lydia? Come in here. We need to talk to you." My dad yelled from down stairs. What could he want this time? I ran down stairs and into the front room where my mum and dad were sitting. They had serious looks on their faces. This couldn't be good. I sat down slowly on the opposite sofa. We carried on waiting for Lydia. She finally strolled in on her phone and took a seat next to me.
"What ever I've done, I'm sorry." I said quickly, before they could start talking. They both chuckled at me and looked at each other slightly.
"Look, Girls. Your dads got a promotion." My mum told us slowly. I felt a happy feeling fill my body and I smiled towards my dad.
"Wow, dad that's great" Lydia said happily.
"Yeah, the company he works for has bought into another branch and his promotion is with the other branch." My mum started, so we nodded along to show we understood. "Well, that branch is going to be in London."
"London?" I repeated with shock. "How are you going to get there and back everyday dad?" I asked him, knowing what was coming next.
"No, I don't think you understand. We're moving to London Lucy." My body became numb, I couldn't believe it. I couldn't leave Wales, Me and Lydia lived in this house all our lives. I wasn't prepared to leave it all behind. My friends, my school. I couldn't.
"No!" Lydia said quietly. I looked towards her and nudged her knee slightly. She looked at me and her eyes were glassy. I took her hand and nodded slowly.
"Okay" I whispered. "When are we leaving?" I then asked. Not really wanting to know.
"That's the thing. We've bought a house and we can move there Friday." Friday? That was only 5 days from now. I continued to nod my head and stood up.
"I suppose we better get packing then" I said smiling, trying not to show my sadness. My mum smiled and nodded as I walked out and back upstairs. What was going on? How could all this be happening so quickly? I sat on the edge of my bed and I looked towards Lydia as she walked in and smiled. Lydia was my twin sister. But we were non identical. Ive got blonde hair; she's got brunette hair. I got greeny blue eyes while she's got hazel. Mum and dad say we only have the same smile, but I don't see it personally.
"What do you think of all this?" I asked her, I could feel the tears stinging my eyes. She looked at me and sat on her bed and sighed.
"I- I don't know." She huffed.
"Come on let's get packing." We got up and walked down stairs and into the garage to grab some boxes to start. I grabbed two while Lydia thought she would be clever and grab three. What a knob. I shook my head and smiled at her while walking back towards the stairs. I got 3/4's of the way up when I heard boxes hitting the floor. I turned around and burst out into laugher at the sight. Lydia was laying on her back at the bottom of the stairs with one leg on the stairs and one on the wall; with the boxes around her. "Oh my god, are you alright?" I giggled.
"Do I look alright?" She giggled. "Come help me up you bitch." I placed the boxes I was holding on the top of the stairs and went to help her. I jumped over her dead looking body as she couldn't move and I grabbed under her arms and pulled her slightly so she was off the stairs then lifted her up. I didn't stop laughing.
"Knob" I coughed.
"Bitch" she coughed back. We both fell into fits of laugher. Me and Lydia have always had the same sense of humour. She was like my best friend. Unlike most twins, or even sisters. We get along.
"Come on." I took a box while she took the other two and and we carried them upstairs and placed them in our room. We started going though our stuff sorting out what we wanted to take and what we didn't. I started folding a t-shirt when I turned to Lydia.
"Can't believe we're moving." I sighed.
"Me either. But we have to think about Dad." She said, while folding up some clothes. I nodded and placed the t-shirt in the box.

~Moving Day~
I took one last look of my room, sighing as I turned the light off. I closed the door slowly before heading to the stairs. It's all happening so quick. I got to the bottom of the stairs and looked around. Everything looked so bare. Everything was already on its way down to London.
I looked towards mum and she nodded, giving me a warm smile. I made my way to the front door and smiled. As I opened the door the cold air hit my body causing me to shiver a little. My dad threw me the car keys and I went over to the car that was parked outside the house and unlocked it causing it to beep. I turned around and leaned against the car. Lydia came out and joined me. Hooking her arm with mine and placing her head on my shoulder.
"I'm going to miss this place luce." She told me, while watching my mum and dad lock up.
"me too, but I'm also ready for the adventure ahead." I told her, letting my head fall against hers. My dad took the keys off me and jumped into the car followed by mum. "Ready?" I whispered.
"Ready" she whispered back, taking her head from my shoulder. We jumped into the car as my dad turned the engine on.
As we left, me and Lydia watched the house disappear from sight. She took my hand and our hands relaxed onto her lap.
"Girls?" My dad started, looking at me through the wind mirror then looking back to the road. "You remember Karen and Phil don't you?"
"Of course we do!" Lydia said happily.
"Well," my mum began, "They're living in the neighbourhood we're moving too. If I remember correctly, they live in the street in front."
"Oh my god" Lydia squealed. "we get to see Jess everyday?" Jess was like our best friend before they moved. I started getting excited.
Then boom. My mood changed almost instantly. My blood began to boil. Karen, Phil, Jess.. There's just one more person we're forgetting.
Nathan Sykes.
"Is Nathan going to be there?" I sighed. Mum looked at me with a guilty look. Me and Nathan had a bad past. We hated each other. Hate is a strong word. But, we hated eachother. We argued over everything and anything. He loved winding me up. In all honestly, I loved winding him up just as much.
"Please try and get along lucy?" I shook my head while crossing my arms. "Lucy?"
"Fine. But don't expect me not to saying anything if he pisses me of." I said, feeling annoyed and staying serious. But soon smiled when Lydia Chuckled.
"Which is a definite possibility" I tried my best not to giggle because I was trying to be serious but I couldn't help it. My mum laughed a little through her nose and shook her head and turned her attention back to the road.
I looked out the window and watched
all my surroundings as they raced past the window. I had a little sulk to myself. I thought I got rid of him 3 years ago. I felt so annoyed.
Nathan Sykes. Aka, the biggest twat you'll ever meet.
