"When did she tell you?" I ask, Nathan's arm pulled me in tighter. We were cuddled up in the bed, after Nathan calmed me down. No matter how hot it is, I will never pass up a cuddle with Nathan, especially when we're tangled up like this on the bed. My head on his chest, our legs tangled together and his arm around me.
"Yesterday."
"Yesterday?" I repeat, shock clear in my voice. "Did she ask about me?"
"Yeah, she really misses you." He told me.
"And Nora?" I forced myself to say, not sure if I actually want to know.
"She doesn't know, she hasn't heard anything." He sighed, his grip on my hip tightened a little. "You know, I'm never going to let anything happen to you."
"I know." I lie. As much as I want to believe him, I can't. What if Nora doesn't go to prison? What if Nora finds out where we are? What if she brings those men that hit Nathan? What if? So many what if's.
"So, you wanna get a job?" He asks while I roll off of the bed.
"I don't know, I've thought about it. It might occupy me instead of sitting in the house, drowning in my own mind, you know?" I quickly put my hair up in a high, messy pony tail and pull it tight to secure it.
"Mmhmm.." He mumbles as his arms wrap around my waist.
Nathan's p.o.v
"Nath?" She asks, her voice shaky.
"Hmm?" I hum, as I place a kiss on her bare shoulder. I instantly feel the goosebumps appearing on her beautiful skin. It's crazy how her body reacts to mine so quickly and perfectly.
"She will be alright, won't she? Lydia?" I felt my heart ache a little from her desperation in her voice. I honestly didn't know what to say, I can't say she's won't be ok, because I don't know and I really don't want to upset her. But I don't want to give her false hope, to only be crushed if something happens.
"I don't know.. But what I do know, is that Lydia will fight her god damn hardest. You know what she's like, she won't let this break her." She chuckles a little at me, before she starts full on laughing.
"Yeah, she can be a stubborn bitch when she wants to be." She laughs, it sounds like music to my ears. "Do you think you could drive me to the nearest cafe? Or corner shop? I should really find a job." She sighs.
"I can't, I haven't got my car yet." I tell her.
"Can't you use Jays?" She whines.
"I'm not insured to drive it."
"Naaaath.."
"Lucccee." I mimic her in the same whiny tone. "Ask Jay to take you?" I suggest.
"No, that's cheeky." For fuck sake. I walk away from her and out of the room, i make my way down stairs and back outside where I assume everyone still is. The sun slightly blinds me. "Nath." I hear Lucy snap from behind me.
"Jay? Will you take Lucy to the nearest cafe or something so she can apply for a job please?" I ask him, while I hear Lucy cursing at me quietly so only I can hear.
"Yeah, sure. When?" I turn back to Lucy who is out of site of the guys and give her a smug look.
Dick she mouths at me before stepping out into the sun. "Um, tomorrow?" She asks, shyly.
"Yeah, sure. it's a cafe about 10 minutes away. I'll take you there." He smiles at her.
"thanks." She replies sweetly, before walking back insides after giving me an evil glare. If looks could kill.
"So? Nathan?" Tom questions slowly, humour laced in his voice.
"So? Tom?" I question back, in the same tone.
"Have fun with Lucy upstairs earlier?" What the fuck?
"Uh, sure."
"Oh, Lucy.." He mimicked me, in a sexual tone making me and the others laugh.
"What?" I laugh. "Am I not aloud to have fun with my girlfriend?" I challenge.
"Didn't say that mate, maybe you should do it in a less likely place people can hear you." he teases, covering his smug smile with a sip of his drink.
"I'll fuck her where the fuck I like." I say back, trying my best to keep a straight face.
"So you have fucked her then?" Max asks.
No, I wish.
"Yes." I lie. "Of course I have." Max has a proud smile painted on his face.
"Is she good?"
"I'm not answering that." I laugh. Mainly because I don't know, but even if I did I wouldn't share it with these knobs.
"Why not?" I begin to walk away.
"Bye Max."
"But.."
"Bye.."
I walk away into the kitchen and grab myself a drink.
Lucy's p.o.v
Nathan can be a right prick, that was plain cheeky what he asked Jay. I better go and apologise. I walk over to the kitchen and hear Jay's voice. I walk in and Nathan is with Jay.
"So when is Lydia-" Jay started, but Nathan shushed him when his eyes meet mine. What?
"What about Lydia?" I blurt out. I swear to god, if something's happened, or if something's happened to her and he hasn't told me.. I will kick off.
"Oh, um. He was just asking if she's okay." Nathan told me, Jay was avoiding any eye contact. Something's going on here.
"What's going on?" I ask.
"Nothing, I promise." He promises, while walking up to me and giving me a kiss on the cheek.
Something's going on here, and I'm not going to give up until I find out what it is.
