"Lucy unlock the door."

"Lucy, let us in, please."

"What's wrong."

"Lucy, please." It's 9am in the morning. I just wanted to stay in bed and sleep all day. Maybe if I ignore them they'd go away.

"Lucy. Is just me. Let me in?" Lydia said softly, I sighed and thought about it for a second. I sat up slowly and trudged towards the door. I unlocked the door carefully; quietly and opened the door a little bit. I poked my head from around the corner of the door and looked towards Lydia. "Let me in?" I opened the door wide enough for her to come through. I quickly shut it behind her but left it unlocked. "What's wrong Lucy?"

"Nothing." I muttered.

"Oh, come on." She questioned. "Look at you. There's something wrong. Is it me?" She asked.

"No. Of course not- Lydia. Please there's nothing wrong." I tried to convince her.

"Oh ok. So is it ok if I stay in here?" She asked looking pretty sly. I nodded in response and sat back against the wall.

"I know a song that'll get on your nerves, get on your nerves, get in your nerves-" she started singing. I shot her daggers as she knew I hated it when she sung this. But she smirked and carried on. "I know a song that'll get on your nerves all day long." She began to sing louder. "I KNOW A SONG THAT'LL-"

"Fine!" I shouted, she smirked at me and sat on the edge of the bed. She looked at me and waited for me to speak. "Nathan's got a girlfriend. It shouldn't bother me, I know. But it does Lydia. I don't even like him. What's wrong with me."

"You like him." She smirked at me.

"No I don't." I snapped.

"De-nial." She said in the same tone as the fish off finding Nemo.

"I'm not in denial."

"Oh really? So why are you locked up in your room upset?"

"Uh-" I didn't have an answer. She was right.

No she isn't.

Yes she is.

I don't like him.

Yes you do Lucy.

I don't.

I'm going bad. I'm arguing with myself. "Talk to him." I shook my head quickly.

"Why?"

"I- I don't wanna talk to him." I stuttered.

"Ok. But you're going to have to some time." And with that she left. I picked my phone up off charge to ring Nathan. When I slid the phone to unlock I noticed I had 6 miss calls and 4 new messages off Nathan.

"Lucy? What's wrong-N"

"Answer the phone? Please x-N"

"Please tell me lucy? I can't help if you don't tell me.-N"

"Please answer the phone.-N" Received
5 minutes ago. Just as I read it. The phone rung. It was Nathan. Should I answer? Or should I just end it? You know what? I can't. I ended it, but he rung again.

"What?" I snapped, answering the phone.

"What's wrong?"

"N-nothing." I lied.

"Is that why I came down stairs lastnight and you were crying?" He asked sternly.

"Nath just leave me alone." I said coldly.

"Fine. But to actually think I L-" he stopped himself. "Forget it."

"Fine."

"Fine." I slammed the phone down and put my pillow to my face and screamed. Why is he such a dick?

I got up and strolled down stairs and saw Lydia putting stuff into her bag.

"College today?" I asked, Stating the obvious. She nodded; glancing up at me before taking her attention back to her bag.

"Everything ok?"

"Yeah." I smiled. I don't need Nathan. He's a prick. I'll never like him and he'll never like me. End of.

I went to walked Into the living room when there was a knock at the door. I looked over towards Lydia who was still sorting out her bag. I gave a overly dramatic sigh and went to answer it. I unlocked the lock and opened it. Straight away the sun blinded me. But it was still cold. As I shaded my eyes with my arm I noticed a girl with long brown wavey hair standing there. I instantly knew who it was. Nora. I slammed the door in her face and turned to Lydia.

"What is she doing here?" I quickly muttered to Lydia.

"Lucy. You can't just slam doors in peoples faces. I met her at college," she opened the door once again, allowing her into the house. I gave her a scowl. "We're catching the bus together."

"A word," I told her, dragging her into the kitchen by her arm.

"Ow- what? I'm gonna be late." She whispered.

"That's Nathan's girlfriend." I sighed.

"What?" She asked in shock. We both poked our heads around the door and looked over towards her. She was looking at all our family photos on the wall.

"She's Nathan's girlfriend?"

"Yes."

"Everything ok?" She asked innocently, walking into the kitchen.

"Yes. Is this your thing? Interrupting on other peoples conversations?" I snapped at her.

"Lucy." Lydia said quietly nudging me, Nora glared at me and those 'innocent' eyes turned evil. "Nora let's go." She slightly poked her to move her closer to the door. Nora stepped out of the house followed by Lydia. She waved to me and I slammed the door shut. Trying to get my anger out. But it didn't work.

I sat down in the front room and switched the tv on. I had to catch up on Hollyoaks. I pressed play when my phone buzzed.

"I'll find out as much as I can on her and Nathan. But you've got to calm it down. Little Miss Temper Problems;) xx-Lydia."

"Thankyou. And I don't have temper problems:') xx-Lucy."

I turned my attention back to the tv and I watched the open theme tune thing to hollyoaks while singing along.

"Duh- duh- duhduh- duhduh- duh." I sort of sang to the last bit. I pressed pause while my phone buzzed once more.

"Oh really? Remember the time you smashed 3 plates? Just because Nathan took your cake? Hahaa I've got to go bus is here. See you after:) xx-Lydia." I giggled at the message and placed my phone besides me.

A day all by myself, dads working, mums out, Lydia's gone to school. Day of Hollyoaks it is.

I've got to get a life.
