first..sorry for not posting but I'm going to give some time to this to someone read it...
So now I'll teach you the verb (이다) to be. Take note that what I'm going to teach you it's just is use and you can't use it to make sentences for now because it is the infinitive of the verb (rarely use in korean)

이다
for English speakers, this word is actually easy. For exemple:
I am a woman
He is a man
They are man
He was a dogIn each of these sentences, the word be is represented by a different word (is/am/are/was) depending of the subject and tense of the sentence. In korean, the same word is used to represent this. The word is 이다
이다 shouldn't be thought of as a verb or adjective in korean, as in most of the cases it acts differently. We'll see that in future...
Sometimes 이다 is similar to adjectives. Remember that sentences with adjectives do not have objects in them. ONLY sentences with verbs have objects. For exemple:
I eat hamburgers (eat is a verb, hamburger is the object)
I meet my friends (meet is the verb, the object is my friend)
However, the sentences with adjectives don't have an object in them
I am pretty
I am smartThis means that we can never use 을/를 with an adjective
the object particle is also not used when using the word 이다
the basic structure for a sentence predicated by 이다 is:[noun 은/는][another noun][이다]:
I 는 man 이다 = I am a man
⬇
now substitute the words for "man" and "I"나-I
남자-man나는 + 남자 + 이다
이다 is attached directly to the noun.
So it looks like ➡ 나는 남자이다↘this is just the structure, as in korean sentences the verbs are usually exposed to the conjugation and honorifics.
