The 2004 Jenner, California Double Murder

A couple, Jason S. Allen and his fiance Lindsay Cutshall met in 2002 while Cutshall was enrolled at Appalachian Bible College in Vest Virginia. They decided to take a weekend off from their jobs, and took their Red Ford Temport. They ended up at River's End restaurant and Inn where they found there were no rooms to be rented out. They decided to stay overnight on a nearby state beach, and shared a sleeping bag. During the night, a killer found the couple asleep. He/she murdered them with a .45Caliber Marlin model 1894 rifle. A helicopter spotted them the next day. DNA was found at the scene but none of it matched the national database. The caliber used was an unusual one from a high-end rifle maker. Authorities released additional info about the murders in 2006, but no evidence has surfaced.
