18 Days
I had only one period left before the end of the day. Grayson was picking me up and we were going to see Scarlet, I was going with him purely due to the fact his mother and step dad would not want to cause a scene with a guest present.
I couldn't help loving the type of person Grayson became when his sister was mentioned.
His eyes lit up, his smile brightened and he was no longer the intimidating, broody narcissistic lacrosse player he portrayed himself to be.
I walked to biology, books in hand and took my seat beside Will. Glancing at him as I sorted my books so they were not a mess across the desk, I noticed he wasn't paying attention to me. "Hey." I smiled.
Will glanced at me only through the corner of his eye, his head and body still facing forward, though the teacher had not yet quietened down the chatter. "Hey." He mumbled.
"What's up..?" Things felt awkward, which sucked. Today had already been a long school day with people whispering last nights events and rumours about my 'freak gang' whom most seemed to either be in love with or threatened by, and lastly, Chloe was giving me the cold shoulder.
Apparently it was my fault her boyfriend suffered a punch to the face?
Isabel had reassured me it wasn't my fault and that she'd come around eventually. Though she had also said Will was only trying to help me and by not going with him I was endangering myself. Personally, I couldn't see any possible endangerment. Sure they're troublesome and intimidating to those on the outside of their circle, but they were really just goofballs. Grayson especially. Honestly, I couldn't imagine a group of people I'd be safer with.
Will shook his head, sighing.
"Come on Will, you're not seriously mad at me..." He turned to me now, highlighting his split lip, it wasn't that bad nor was it that big of a deal.
"We're friends right?" He asked me. Honestly, I'd known him only five days, but he was sweet enough, I couldn't turn that down.
"of course."
"Then why didn't you come with me? I was just trying to do what Chloe would want me to do." Was he serious? What was he, Chloe's lap dog now? Couldn't he think for himself?
"Will, they're my friends too. " I told him and he just nodded his head once and turned back to the front of the class.
I tried my hardest to pay attention to the bald stumpy man at the front of the class as he rambled on and on, but his words quite literally went in one ear and out the other.
I was excited to meet Grayson's family, well, his sister at least. I'm not sure I could say the same for his mom and Steve. If I'm correct, his mom agreed to get rid of him, shut him out and this is the first time he will be allowed to see Scarlet. Of course, this one meeting is excluded from the restraining order.

"It will be fine, Grayson." I tried to soothe him. We'd been parked across the street for five minutes already and I'd been unable to get Grayson to move from the car due to his nerves. He was worried Scarlet wouldn't remember him and if she did, that she'd be afraid after seeing him fight with her father.
Grayson nodded his head, letting out a deep breath and stepping out of the car. Following in suit, I closed the car door behind me and awaited for him to walk around the car. I took his hand, squeezing it reassuringly as he pressed the doorbell with his other hand. I remindeded myself not to slip up, I had not been here before, I did not know where the bathroom was, I knew nothing of Grayson breaking in.
