Today, I woke up with a start when my door was slammed open. I saw Marcus, who barged into the room just like usual.
"You are not yet ready! Do you want to be late for the ceremony? " he said.
"Don't worry, I'll get ready at once " I replied calmly.
If he was not in front of me then I would have been yawning now. I stayed up late or rather should I say, I pulled an all-nighter.
I wonder what everyone's reaction would be when they see me fight. The corner of my lips lifted up slightly at the very thought of it.
When I stepped out of the mansion I found father, Evie and Marcus waiting next to a carriage.
I was shocked to see the 'beasts' pulling the carriage. They looked similar to horses but had wings on there back and their skin was blood red in color. They had horns like that of bison and tail made of fire. The carriage itself was not effected by the flames though.
Seeing me stare at those 'beasts' for longer than usual, Marcus proudly stated "These are the highest quality beasts called 'Drakes' that our family has. This is perhaps the first time you are seeing them but that's quite natural as they are mostly used by the Dukes during battle or when going out to meet the important people of the country for an official ceremony".
I murmured quietly "Even if Rhys had seen it previously, this would have been a first for me".
We all got into the carriage and headed straight for the venue of the ceremony.
