The king, looked similar to prince Lewis, with his brown hair and blue eyes.
His eyes narrowed in thought.

If I let this continue the result will not be good.
I floated to where Daniel was and bowed. I spoke solemnly "First of all Your Majesty, I apologize for not being able to kneel before you. It is not because I don't want to, its just that my body doesn't follow my will at present".
I looked up to see the king staring at me with interest.

What's with this father and son duo? Why exactly do they seem to be interested in me as if I am a foreign creature?

I took a deep breath and continued "I, Rhys Augustine, request Your Majesty, to call this match a draw".

"Oh! And why do you make such a request?" the king questioned.

I slightly smiled at that. The king is actually curious!
I said "In a battle, until the last minute the victor cannot be decided for no one knows what secret cards a player holds. Therefore, assumptions are futile. Besides, these matches happen for the very sake of finding good candidates who can become knights in the future. Thus, keeping us now and letting us participate in another match in the future can very well serve the purpose of selection".

The king stared at me for a while then declared "The conclusion of the match between Rhys Augustine and Daniel Marriott is a draw".
"Thank you, Your Majesty. I am grateful to you for your fairness". I said while bowing to him again.
The matter had thus come to an end.
When everyone had left except for Dad, Marcus, Evie, Daniel and a man who seemed to be a relative of Daniel, I couldn't hold on any longer and collapsed. Daniel, who was standing next to me was quick to catch me before I could hit the floor. I was gasping for breath. I had used up too much of my battle aura.
I slowly regained my composure and stood up using Daniel's help. The unknown man bowed slightly towards me and said with utmost respect "I thank you Milord for saving my son's life".
Oh, I see, so this man is Daniel's father.
I waved at him dismissively and said respectfully "No need to thank me Sir, we are family, it was indispensable to do so".
He looked at me surprised at first then smiled gratefully.
