I didn't know what else I was supposed to say or do, so I stayed quiet.
Then, there came in a few knights who took us all to a part of this building from where one could easily view the arena and enter it when we had our names called out.
The arena was just like a modern day football stadium. The spectators seats were packed upto the brim. I spotted my father sitting in one of those VIP areas. He was talking to someone next to him and Marcus was laughing for some reason, while little Evie was most probably too excited to sit still for she was practically jumping in her seat.
The duels started and they were very boring!
All the participants were practically using the same moves with only slight differences, so much so that if not paid attention to one will not notice anything. Then, I could hear the name 'William' getting called out and the one to step on the battle field was prince Lewis. His opponent was the future Duke of pessmire, Callum Farnham, who was basically the most famous person among the contenders if the prince was excluded. It was widely known that Callum was of earth attribute and had brilliant swordsmanship. I watched attentively in order to gain insights about the strength of my opponents because each of us in the group of contenders had to face each other once in a battle. As soon as the match began, lightening sparked from the sword prince was holding and he charged towards his opponent without wasting a second. On the other hand, Callum created a barrier around him filled with small chunks of hard soil. He then quickly covered his sword with a thin layer of mud. By the time Callum had completed his preparation to intercept the attack, the sword strike from the prince had arrived. The swords clashed heavily and gave out a ringing noise which filled the whole place.
