Age: 13
Today was actually a really boring day for me. Luke has been out somewhere with his family and I sat here watching my two week old brother, Drew. He was sleeping peacefully in his crib and he could wake up crying any minute now.
"Desi, how's your little brother doing so far?" Mum says quietly.
"He's doing good. I wonder if two week old babies have dreams." I wander out loud.
"Actually-." Mum got cut off by hearing knocks on the door. She was about to get it but I stop her.
"I'll get it." I smile.
Once I open the door, I found Luke standing there, looking at his feet. "Luke?"
His head shot up, "Oh hey, Desi."
I looked back at my mum and she nodded. I stepped out of the house and closed the door. "Hey, what are you doing here?"
"Come with me." He says before grabbing my wrist and led me somewhere.
"W-Where are we going?" I stutter.
"On an adventure." He smiles.
We pass by our neighborhood and the local mall. Who knows how long we've been walking.
"What can we do on this adventure?" I put emphasis on the last word.
"We can run down the streets." He responds.
"More like we can walk down the streets." I rolled my eyes.
"We can tear down this town."
"Do you want us to get arrested?" I nearly yell.
"We can make it out alive."
"Just tell me where we're going." I groan.
"I can't," He smirks. "It's a surprise."
We pass through Cheshire Park and a forest and soon enough we're in the middle of nowhere.
"Luke! Where are we?! Please don't tell me you got us lost!" I groan, stopping in my tracks.
"Desi... We're almost there!" Luke says, turning around and facing me.
"But I'm tired of walking." I whined.
Luke hesitated for a while until he blended down in front of me. "I'll carry you on my back then."
I raised an eyebrow, "You sure?"
"Yeah." He nods.
I huffed and climbed onto his back. He stands up making me rise into the air and he starts walking.
"How far or near are we to this destination?" I asked.
"Maybe about half an hour or so?" Luke answers.
I slapped him on the head. "Dude!"
"Ow! Don't slap me!" He groans, looking up. "I was kidding!"
"Kidding my ass." I scoff.
"Well, we're here already."
There was a peach tree a few feet away from us. Wait, peach trees grow in England?
"This is where you took us?" I jumped off of his back.
"Yeah." He nods.
"Wow." I say sarcastically.
"What?"
"It's just that, we walked for over an hour just to see a stupid tree?"
"It's not stupid. Look closely at the bark."
