My friend DarylBurd just offered me what I believe to be the highest praise I've ever recieved! About an hour and a half after I posted "On a Cursed Road," Daryl wandered over to my workstation (we are co-workers at my day job, you see), and he placed a folded sheet of 12×18 cardstock on my desk.
I almost cried with happiness when I opened it and found this:

This beautifully inked illustration of Wenden is the first piece of fanart I've ever gotten, and I was so blown away by the level of detail and accuracy that I just had to share it with the world.
This is the precise scene I envisioned in my head when writing this entry, and to see it translated so perfectly into someone else's imagination is just flooring.
