Y/N's POV

As the first snow crystal touched the gentle grass, the cold breeze started to whisper signalling that winter is about to come.

Your hands slowly stretched to catch one crystal at a time. The first snowfall always has this magical feeling enveloping you. For no particular reason, you felt like someone has always watched over you through the years of hardship.

A snow flake has fallen in your warm palms. It made your heart swell. It made you smile.

You step out of your tiny house and slowly walked into the fields of flowers that you have always wonder why it blooms all through out the year.

"Even in autumn, you bloom... And in winter you still stood unmoved by the cold." You whispered as you picked a bunch of flowers.

You decided to make a flower crown for yourself.

Every twist and fold with the luscious stem made you realize that such flower has this strong parts to withstand the change of seasons.

You smiled.

Perhaps, I'm like these flowers. You thought.

Standing strong through the years, alone; no friends or family. You survived all the hardship life has given you.

And you were grateful about it.

You were grateful for being alive.

Every first snowfall you always had that feeling that if you'd wish something then someday it will come true. It has become part of your yearly personal tradition.

Saeran's POV

He has been watching this girl ever since she was born.

Her mother and father fell from a cliff while trying to rescue her from the wild dogs in the forest.

Saeran, a deity who were banished from their kingdom witnessed how the poor humans died.

He was about to leave, but he heard the baby cried.

Curious, he went to see how it looked like.

It was the first snow fall, he slowly opened the blanket covering the crying baby.

She has a pair of eyes too beautiful for a human. You thought.

"Hush... Don't cry now." Saeran whispered as he tried caressing her face.

The baby smiled.

And his heart thumped.

He has never seen anyone smiled at him.

He is used to people's disgusted and glaring eyes.

It was refreshing.

"Is this how it feels when someone is not angry at you?" He asked himself. "If it is, then I would love to feel this way over and over again."

Many years had passed but the moment of first snowfall always excites him for no reason at all.

Maybe it was because of this girl's presence that is making him happy.

Every first snow fall this girl had always wished for something. Today, he knows she'll have the same wish.

And that is "not to be alone anymore".

Saeran could grant this poor soul's wish by making another person find its way to her. But he knows deep inside he wouldn't want anyone near this girl.

Just imagining her with someone is enough to make his day gloom.

"Darn it." He mumbled to himself.

He was secretly scolding himself when hr heard the girl's foot step.

He focused his attention only to her as she walked across the field of grass. He saw as she put a flower crown on her head.

Beautiful. Saeran thought.

As the girl held her palm to catch a snow flake, she closed her eyes. He knows she's about to make her wish.

"I know what shell wish for." Saeran whispered.

But to his surprised, the girl didn't wished for anything. He heard something different for the first time.

"I know I wished for the same thing my whole life... That is to have someone beside so I won't be alone anymore." The girl started.

"Today, I realized that I am not alone all these years... How could I've survived with all the struggles of living alone if there is none protecting me." She continued.

"I know you're out there." She was talking in the air.

That made his heart thumped.

Was he talking to me? He is sure that she's talking to her. Who had protected her from the very beginning? Of course it was him.

"Could you please show yourself now?" Her voice was gentle.

Saeran gulped. Would he show his face?

He felt something he can't explain. He is worried, nervous and anxious all at the same time.

He smelled his clothes, he hadn't washed it for a thousand years.

He anxiously fix his hair that hasn't been combed from the time he was banished.

He took a deep breath.

He cautiously floated to her location...

Will she even talked to her?

Won't she run away?

Will she stay?

These questions kept on running in his head as he slowly set foot behind her.

Y/N's POV

You felt a cold breeze behind you.

Is this my guardian angel? You asked yourself.

The thought made you smile, so you slowly turned.

You were out of words as you saw a red head man standing in front of you.

His golden eyes glistened like the sunset. The slow snow flake falling from the sky made him looked enchanting. Like he came directly from another world.
His clothes were made of fine silk, embroidered with golden traces.

"H-hi." He said.

"Where you—" you asked, not sure if it was really the right question to ask this stranger.

"I am your protector." He said.

That very moment you know your wished just came true.
