Chapter 15 Mama's death.

Mama's death.

Mama was diagnosed of cancer a year and six months after Kaseem's and Maya's wedding on the 7th of September 2029, every day Maya visits her two to three times a day, and every time she clashes with Kaseem sisters their clash will end up in fights, so with that Maya begun to avoid their meeting, and whenever's she is around before them, immediately they come in she bades Mama goodbye.

Today Maya and Kaseem were up early un the morning and were already dressed for work after their breakfast,
"So i was hoping you will be with Mama this morning" he said as she adjust his neck tie, "um i won't be going" she said,
"Why"
"You know i don't like meeting your sisters"
"They are also like your sisters"
"Sadly they don't seem to recognize that" she said as she faces the mirror to bun her hair, "they are nice, you just have to get to know them better" he said turning to her,
"They were nice before out marriage, besides why won't they get to know me, why do i get to do the understanding, oh i get it because they are your senior sisters, i am all nice to them, so why can't i get the same from them, " she stated as she still buns her hair,
"You are right they are my seniors and you have to respect them like i do"
"I do respect them, they don't just see it, you should be glad i don't retaliate at times"
"I wish you will understand me"
"I do, yes i do understand you are this little brother who can't do anything for himself against his oppressive sisters nor could he stand in for his wife, Yeah i do understand" she said with a nod,
"Maya......
"You are running late" she said with a scowl turning to him,
"No listen to me"
"No Kay, i have issues with your sisters not you, if you can't stand up for me as my husband when you know they are at fault, then i will appreciate it if you leave me be and let our issues be our issues" she said with a scorn look,
"Am off" he said and turned to go,
"Yeah drive safely" she called back, but he ignored her and went out, she chuckled and set back to tie her veil.

On coming out from the house in silver Bentley, she had a change of heart and decided to head to the hospital but not after she branced to some bakery and got some snacks, milk, then to a 24/7 Italian restaurant and bought some grilled chicken, Sallad, fish pepper soup and some drinks.

"Mama" said Maya as she came in to see a nurse attending to her, she was awake but looked pale, "Maya" said Mama opening her hands for a hug, Maya put down the baskets and went to hug her, "how do you feel" asked Maya as she tucks away some locks of Mama's hair, Mama smiled and nodded,
"Don't worry you will get well by Allah's will, guess what i brought you your favorite milk and chicken" said Maya as she begun to open the basket,
"Av got till 2 p.m, so i will read you a book, called Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone, i know it's much, but am a first reader" said Maya placing the book on Mama's laps, Mama just kept on smiling as she watches and hear Maya talk endlessly.

Around 1:08 pm Maya was still reading the novel and Mama was listening whole heartedly, just when the door was opened and Dina, Sabira and Ram'ma came in, Maya quickly closed the book and said, i have to go Mama, but i promise by Allah's will i will read on for you in the evening till midnight" with that she stood up, Pecked her on the fore head and set to go, without acknowledging their presence.

"I hate her guts" said Ram'ma bitterly,
"She thinks so full of herself, i hate her so much" said Sabira as she sat down,
"Why are you being mean, why can't you treat her like your junior sister, teach her like one" said Mama smiling,
"Mama, you don't know anything about that witch, she isn't what you think she is" said Dina, as she bites a chicken leg,
"She is a nice girl, the nicest i have ever seen, your brother loves her, please when i die, don't interfere in their marriage, don't be the wicked sisters, don't be oppressive, that girl has a good heart and if you do bad to her, Allah the kings of all kings won't leave you be" said Mama sadly
"Whatever Mama" said Sabira.
