Maya's first trial.

Maya's case was issued to the court on the 5th of september 2031, it was set for hearing the following week, the case was Maya T.I.G versus the state, because her dad refused to sue her at all. Bail wasn't granted for Maya and so she has to stay in her cell.

On coming back from the court, the officer who she was rude to her , followed her to her cell and handed her a paper, Maya who looks week and lean collected the paper, she knew it will be her blood and urine test result, the thing is that on that same day Kaseem left she felt ill with fever and dizzyness, she had to be admitted into a nearby hospital and was asked to run some test.

She read the paper in his presence and smiled weakly and sat down, "am a month pregnant" she said with a sigh, "i know , you should let yours husband know"

"Yeah so much for a poke noser you are, but am happy, so i will kindly ask you to inform him" she said with a smile, the officer scowled and walked away leaving her smiling to herself.

The next day, the officer came back with a paper for her in the afternoon, she eagerly went to him, "he said i should give you this"

"Kaseem, Kaseem was here, where is he, why is he not with you" she asked eagerly and trying to view pass behind him.

"He left"

"Why" she asked taken aback as she collected the folded paper, "read it, will you" he said sounding calm, she sighed and unfolded it and read 'i Kaseem Omar Ganati hereby cut one knot out of the three knots of our marriage and hereby disagree and have no claim to the unborn child in you, he or she isn't mine'
"No no no" she started saying shaking her head as she went through the paper again,

"Mrs........ "NOOOOOOOOOOO" she yelled,

"Calm down"

"Coward, you corward, why won't you be man enough to tell me to my face" she yelled waving the paper,

"am sorry, but you have to calm down, it is not good for your condition" said the officer sadly,

"You are right" she said as tears welled up her eyes,
"should i contact your father"

"There is no one else to contact"

"Look you need serious attention"

"Don't you get it, there is no one to contact, am on my.......my own" she said as tears fall down her cheeks,

"Don't t you have any family member"

"None, just me and my baby" she said and she turned away and sat down on the cold floor, leaning on the wall, she sighed and then silently begun to cry, the officer watch with pity as she cries.

Maya became so quiet but ever prayerful, with no visitors of any kind, she just wouldnt say anything when the lawyer assigned to her by the high court of justice came to talk to her, she will just stare into space and blinks rarely, the lawyer had to leave and come the following day but Maya won't just talk, sometimes she will get a coal from the heap which happens to be in the cell she is, and she will write on the wall or on the floor , some times she will roughly sketch two girls and name them Maya and Thahani, some time she will just sketch a girl and write Thahani, some times she will write a poem and recite it slowly and in the process in tears

Surprisingly Officer Adeel started to bring in well prepared nutritionl dish for her, the first time he brought in the basket, she quickly started eating with her black stained dirty hands and fingers, she ate with tears in her eyes as Adeel watch her sadly,
"You are nice, why" she asked when she was almost through with the meal,
"I know you are innocent"
"Th....thanks"
"Its owkey, are you done with this"
"No, i will eat the remaining for dinner" she said, he chuckled and said "if you are filled up, don't worry i will be bringing you lunch and dinner, everyday"
"W.....wow,thank you" she said as tears welled up her eyes ,
