Chapter Eleven

The Grand Royal Ball

The Ballroom was unbelievably Stunning. Decorated with the most delicate looking touch the whole room looked completely effortless. Twinkly fairly lights wrapped round the Ballroom giving of a very magical vibe. It was defiantly fit for Royalty.

"Wow" Colette breathed from beside me, where she was looking up in awe at the huge Crystal Chandelier that hung from the ceiling

"I don't remember that being there before" William said

"They've really pulled out all the stops" Anthony muttered

"How did they get it through the door?"Davie asked suspiciously from where he was standing behind me

"There Vampires Davie" Anthony shrugged as if that explained everything

We made our way past all the students to the far end of the Ballroom. On the way, music started playing I wasn't sure where it was coming from until William pointed out the Band playing on the far right of the stage.

"So is as terrible as you'd thought it'd be Lails?" Anthony asked me

"No" I answered honestly "but the nights still young Anthony"

He looked like he was about to reply but that's when Miss Piersay voice came through the speakers. Everyone ones eyes turned to the stage where she was standing in a long black ball gown that touch the floor. She was radiating beauty everything about her was the spitting image of true perfection.

"Welcome Students to your first Grand Royal Ball" She spoke clearly, her voice echoing around the room in a way that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up "For the first time in history, the Royal Family will be joining us in our De Lutha Academy Ball, Tonight we grace there presence in the utmost respect"

We had already had a lesson yesterday on Vampire etiquette. 'Don't speak to them unless spoken too' and 'bow in the presence of a Royal' oh and my absolute favorite 'carry out any instructions they may ask of you' (note the sarcasm?). God it's a complete joke.

Miss Piersay carried on talking about the 'honor' of the Royals coming and it got ridiculous. What is so special about the Royals? God I hate them already

"We should now all bow our heads for the entrance of The Royal Family"Miss Piersay said

My head barely lowered an inch as they walked on stage. There where five of them, all of them walking with their heads high like they thought they where better than us.

The first woman looked in her forties or older although is probably a thousand or something. She was tall, dark haired with a stern gaze that looked to kill

The second woman looked younger, still like a teenager. Same features as the the older woman but she was shorter and less scary.

The man looking in his fifties was light haired with less of the scary vibe. He was actually smiling although that was slightly creepy.

Maybe if I had studied the other Royals longer I could of given a better description but I couldn't because my eyes were almost instantly pulled to Royal on the end.

He was undeniably Handsome, Dark hazel hair with an elegant almost angelic face, He was tall in a fine fitted suit, the words 'sexy' and 'hot' seemed to be oozing of him. It shocked me how attracted I was to this complete stranger, and frankly it creeped me out. I feel like I should slap myself, he's a Vampire a Royal one as well!

"Please put your hands together for The Royal Family"Miss Piersay spoke after a quick bow to them, everyone clapped and soon the band started playing "Have a Fantastic night students" was Miss Piersay last words before she left the stage with the Royals

"Come on Lailah let's go dance!"Colette squealed excitedly

"Defiantly not" I said shaking my head

"You have to Lails" Anthony said grabbing my hand and pulling me into the crowd of dancers

Colette, William and Davie where close behind and I gave in dancing with my friends and laughing along with the them. And I've got to admit Davie is the King of dance!

"I'm going to get some air!" I shouted over the loud base music at Colette

"Ok!" Colette shouted back

I pushed out of the crazy mob of dancers and to the balcony doors. I opened the doors to the huge balcony that was currently empty. I breathed in the fresh air as I made my way to the end of the balcony. The view was of the gardens that was out of bounds for students, and now I know why. It's pretty impressive,special cut hedges, rows and rows of flowers and below me a huge pond, something you'd only see out of a movie.

I peeped further over the edge thinking I could jump of balcony into the pond if I wanted to escape the ball. But surprisingly that wasn't the case I was actually having a pretty fun time with everyone. Wow never thought I'd say that at a Royal Vampire Ball ...

I then heard the balcony door open, I turned around expecting it to be Colette or Anthony coming to look for me but I think my heart must of stopped when he walked in.

"Hello" He spoke closing the balcony door behind him "I'm Nathan and I don't believe we've met"
