It's been a week since they left Grove city. Jorge, Aidan, and Christopher all marching towards the next city, Westerville. They've been out of Grove for about two days now and are almost to their destination.
They're maybe two hours out of Westerville when they run into two zombies on the side of the road.
"Awe look, a zombie husband, and a...nother zombie husband." Said Jorge. "C'mon, let's take care of these quickly." He said to Aidan.
They both go and get rid of both zombies.
"Hey Christopher, you wanna call dibs on one of these?" Said Jorge.
"Nah, I really don't like killing them." Christopher replied.
"Well, I don't think it's a matter of I don't like to or not. You gotta do it to live." Replied Jorge.
They keep moving towards the next city. About fifteen minutes goes by before they see the next zombie.
"Hey Christopher, you taking this one?" Asks Jorge.
"If it'll make you happy, sure." Replied Christopher.
Christopher walks toward the zombie, he pulls out a small knife. He walks right up to it and quickly stabs it in the head.
"See, I can do it. I just don't want to." Said Christopher, looking right at Jorge.
They now stand right outside the next city, Westerville.
Westerville was a pretty major city before everything happened. Lots of places to live, plenty of stores to shop at, and what used to be everyone's favorite carnival.
"Alright well, we need a plan before we go in." Said Aidan.
"Well, I think getting supplies is probably priority number one." Replied Christopher.
"Good idea." Replied Jorge.
As they head into town Aidan gets the feeling they're being watched. Aidan looks around and sees no people or zombies in sight. They keep moving but Aidan is now very cautious about this city.
They go in between apartment buildings when they see a grocery store on the other side.
"Hey look, we gotta get in there. I'm sure there'll be supplies." Said, Christopher.
Before anybody could reply an arrow flys past Christopher's head barely grazing him. They all run back and get in front of one of the buildings they were in between.
"Is everyone ok?" Aidan asks.
"I think we're good but what just happened?" Replied Jorge.
"I think someone's stalking us." Replied Christopher.
They think they can get into the store but they have to go a different route. All three go different ways to get into the store. Thinking if it's just one person hunting them they can't attack them all at once when they're all going separate ways.
Jorge goes the way they tried before, right in between the buildings. Aidan goes around the building to the left of Jorge. Christopher goes the other way of Aidan, going to the right side of Jorge.
Jorge makes it to the other side untouched. Aidan makes it as well. Christopher makes it through unharmed as well. They all cautiously head into the store. Jorge and Aidan stay next to each other in the store whilst Christopher goes to the other side of the store.
"Hey, what do you think of Christopher?" Asked Jorge.
"I like him, he can be a big help to us. Plus he seems like a cool dude." Replied Aidan.
"Well, I think we gotta keep it to just you and me." Said Jorge.
"Why do you wanna get rid of him?" Replied Aidan.
"I just think if we have too many people in this we're putting us at a bigger risk of dying." Replied Jorge.
" In this?" Asked Aidan.
"In our little group." Replied Jorge.
"Look, I don't think that having Christopher in this is going to get us killed." Replied Aidan.
Before Jorge responds Christopher walks up to them.
"You guys ready to go? There's nothing here so we shouldn't waste time." Said, Christopher.
"Yea lets go." Replied Jorge.
They leave through the back door. They head to the old carnival because Aidan wanted to go and see if anything was still there. They walk up to the old merry go round.
"Wonder if it would still work?" Aidan asks.
"Probably not. It wasn't working before the apocalypse I could almost guarantee it wouldn't work now." Replied Jorge.
Before they give it a try they hear someone behind them. They all turn around to see someone holding a bow and arrow. They're pointing it directly at them.
"Weapons on the ground, now!" The person with the bow and arrow says.
Jorge and Aidan quickly lay down their knives but instead of putting his down Christopher pulls out a handgun.
"Woah, where did you get that from!" Jorge says surprised and confused.
"Put down your bow" Screams Christopher.
"Put the gun down!" Screams the person with the bow.
"Look!" Yelled Jorge. "We can work something out. First off, who are you?" Asked Jorge to the person with the bow.
"Fine, I'm Kelly." She said. "Look give me half of your stuff and we can all leave alive." Kelly said.
"Jorge, I think that's fair. Just give her half the stuff." Aidan said scared.
"Fine. Let me get the stuff and we can all be on our way." Replied Jorge.
"Kelly, I have a question?" Aidan asks. "Instead of just getting half of the stuff and leaving, you could just join our group."
"Join? You want me to join your group?" Kelly said.
"Here you go, half our stuff." Says Jorge.
He wrapped the stuff in a blanket and holds his hand out so Kelly can take the stuff. Kelly takes one step forward and a loud gunshot goes off. Christopher had shot her right in between her eyes.
"Christopher what did you just do!" Jorge yells.
"I don't know. She took a step forward and I panicked." Replied Christopher.
"Look, let's just get the hell out of here before zombies or other people start showing up." Says a scared Aidan.
They quickly leave for the next city but on their way out Jorge needs to have a conversation with Aidan about what just happened.
"I think now would be a pretty appropriate time to kick him out, don't you think?" Asked Jorge.
"I understand it would be the appropriate time but just give him one more chance." Replied Aidan.
"How can you just let him get away with this?" Jorge asks Aidan.
"He panicked. I know it's not the best defense but Jorge, just give him one more chance." Replied Aidan.
"You can give him as many chances as you want but I'm done with him." Jorge responded.
