Namjoon's Perspective
Me and Jimin made our way to my car and got in. As soon as I turned on the car he asked me a question.
"I know you like Jenny, but are you actually sure that your ok with us dating?" He asked.
I was taken a back by his question
"Yeah, I'm sure. You guys are going to break up pretty soon anyways, so it really doesn't matter" Was all I said.
"What do you mean???"
"Well, Jenny obviously hasn't had a boyfriend before, so she's probably not comfortable with suddenly being a girlfriend. Also, she's antisocial so she's probably not used to having someone call her name every five minutes." I explained.
"I don't call her name every five minutes." He said with such a little kid voice.
"Yes you do, trust me, you do. You know, she's most likely to just break up with you using some stupid excuse." I said. "I'm uncomfortable being a girlfriend, sorry Jimin." I mocked Jenny's voice.
"Jenny doesn't sound like that..." said Jimin in such a low whisper, it was a wonder that it was even audible.
"Yes she does, and trust me. I'm smart enough to know these things. Also, Jenny looked mentally exhausted. Being a girlfriend is too exhausting for her." I added.
"Oh" was all he said.
We rode in silence until it dawned on me that Jimin knew that I liked her. I haven't told anyone. I haven't even confirmed it myself, but he knew. Was it that obvious??
"How do you know I like Jenny?" I suddenly asked.
"It's pretty obvious. You're not one to keep petty rivalries, but you've had one with her for three years now. And the way you look at her, it shows a certain little sparkle. You never look at us that way, you've never looked at your mom that way. And when you talk to her, your voice shows anticipation, as if you only want to hear her voice. I could go on."
So it was obvious. Huh. Well then, what do I do now?
"Do you think she'd ever like me back?" I asked, a little afraid of the answer.
"Namjoon, she thinks out loud. When I asked her out she said herself that she liked you but didn't think you liked her back. Just get closer to her." He answered.
She's so stupid. Why would she think out loud? Does she even notice it?
"Thanks, Jimin."
