Namjoon's Perspective

I've lived in this city my whole life, yet the place I have planned is a pond. It was simple yet relaxing. I loved the sight of the pond, but I feel as if it's lacking.

"So where are we going?" Jenny asked, breaking the silence.

"It'll be a surprise."

She slightly pouted at my response. "Can I guess?" She asked.

"You can but I won't tell you whether or not you're right." I simply answered.

She whined, "then what's the point in guessing?"

I chuckled at her cuteness. "You're so adorable." The words just rolled out of my mouth. I don't even know why I said it.

The dim lighting in the car concealed her face just enough. I'm sure she blushed just a little at the random statement.

We stayed in silence formed by awkwardness.

"How much farther?" She asked after a few minutes have passed.

"We're practically here, don't worry." I said as I reached the entrance. "And we're here." I said as I parked the car.

When we got out of the car I remembered we had to walk a bit to actually reach the pond. "We have to walk a little is that ok?"

"We have to walk? But I have heals on." She slightly whined.

"Carrying you is always an option." Again, the words just rolled off my tongue.

"Really?"

"Sure, why not?" I said as I approached her to pick her up. I swiftly picked her up bridal style and made my way to the pond.

"Wow" she said astonished as the pond came into view. "It's really... calm."

The pond was probably a foot deep and had crystal clear water. It had rocks lining up the edges. There were plants growing out from the left side and white lilies scattered around. Three benches were on the right side.

I walked Jenny to the bench and set her down.

"Thanks", She quietly said as she looked up with a warm smile. I sat down on the bench with her and got myself comfortable. Once I was settled, Jenny leaned her head on my shoulder and sighed quietly.

"Are you tired?" I asked softly as I pushed hair out of her face. She nodded slowly and started to lay down with her head on my lap and her body on the bench.

I still can't get over how beautiful she is. She had perfect facial features and perfect skin. She had eyes a dark chocolate brown and almond shaped. She had imperfections, of course cause she's only human. But she was perfect in every way in my eyes.

"Do you know the constellations?" She asked as she stared at the sky.

"Actually... no" I shyly answered.

"No?"

"Nope"

"Well can you skip rocks in the water?" She asked.

"Yes" I proudly answered.

"I bet I'm better than you." She said competitively.

I helped her stand and stood up myself. "Are you sure about that?" I answered in an equally competitive tone.

"Quite sure" she said as she grabbed a stone and tossed it in the pond. It skipped three times.

"Nice job." I reached down and grabbed a stone for myself. I tossed it into the water and watched sink immediately, no skips.

"Haha!" She laughed out in victory "Told you I was better!"

"Yeah yeah ok." I raised my hands in defeat.

Haru's Perspective

"How old is she?" Jenny's mom asked me as I rocked the child to sleep.

"She's a year now."

"Do you not plan on going home tonight?" She eyes me.

"Not really, unless you want me to leave." The infant was finally asleep.

She was switching through channels on the TV and stopped on the news. Regular updates were being held.

"I wonder how Jenny's doing" I spoke out of the blue.

"I do too." She responded without taking her gaze away from the TV. "I'm kind of worried for her. She's never done anything like this." She admitted softly.

I sighed quietly in agreement. Jenny doesn't go to social events unless she has to and that's practically never. I was worried, but her mom didn't need to hear that. "I'm sure she'll be fine. She is getting older."

"I hope so."
