*Jason's pov.*

Furiously I open the front door of my house. Pissed I throw the keys on a small table in the corridor. Quickly I pull off my shoes before I make my way to the kitchen. But as I want to walk through the living room I stop.

»What is he doing here?«, I wonder angrily when I notice Austin sitting with my parents on our couch.

My mom lays her cup of coffee on a bottom plate which is right in front of her on the glassy desk. Then she gives me a stern look.

»Jason, we need to talk«, she says making me feel uncomfortable.

I calm myself a bit when I examine my dad who's reading the newspaper like always. A mischievous grin forms on Austin's lips the moment I catch sight of him. I feel the anger boil in my body.

»What did he tell you? Huh?«, I ask annoyed not looking away from Y/n's so called brother.

When my mom observes my cold gaze she stands up from the sofa. I stare at her with a frown on my face as she steps closer to me.

»Austin told me what happened at your school today«, my mom starts to explain,»He randomly drove past your campus and saw the whole situation.«

Wide-eyed I turn to face Austin. He takes a sip from his coffee while watching us amused. With clenched jaw I look at my mom again.

»So what?«, I wonder feeling myself almost on the edge of screaming.

»Did you deal with the serums again?«, she asks making me scoff loudly.

But when I notice that my mom isn't laughing I gulp down hard. Then I catch sight of Austin once more.

»The fuck did you tell them?!«

»Jason!«, I hear my dad shout.

My heart is beating faster and I feel the adrenaline kick in. I feel some soft hands on my chin forcing me to face my mother.

»Why did you do it?«

»I've never done it!«, I raise my voice angrily,»Austin is the one!«

»Don't blame him now! Admit your mistakes instead! «, my mom screams.

Instantly I stop talking. Silence fills the living room. It's only now that I realize what's really going on here.

»I'd never get other people in danger because of some serum deals. I already have enough money«, I tell my mom looking her deep in the eyes.

»He's lying, Katie!«, Austin starts to say,»He did it once.«

»It was only once when I was younger and I didn't know it's dangerous«, I defend myself.

My mom takes a deep breath and I stare at her curiously. She walks away from me and takes a seat on the couch again.

»Jason you are my son and I love you«, she begins to say,»But you lied to me a lot in the past. I think you have to take the consequences this time. One month no car and no going out.«

Completely shocked I look at her. Then at my dad who addressed himself to the newspaper again.

»You can't fucking do that!«, I shout grabbing my father's attention,»I'm your son! You should believe me! The bad things I did are in the past.«

»I'm sorry, Jason but we won't change our opinion«, my mom says and I stare at my dad hopefully,»Go in your room now!«

I shake my head disappointed and walk in my room. Just a minute later I get a message.

»Don't you ever get near my sister again«, I read out silently.

With full rage I take off my jacket which I was wearing the whole time and harshly throw it in a corner of my room. Desperately I run my hands through my hair. Then I lay myself down on the bed. I look at the message on my screen again as suddenly an idea pops up in my mind.

»Hey, how are you bro? I didn't hear from you since the morning after Y/FN's party. What's up, dude?«

»I don't have time for chit chat now, Kail«, I tell him on the phone,»We have to organize a meeting. Call all the gang members to our secret place!«

»I will but what's-«

»I don't have much time. See you later!«, I reply and finish the call.

Immediately I take on my black leather jacket and open my window. Before climbing outside I turn off the lights and turn on the shower in my bathroom in hope my parents won't notice that I'm gone. After that I walk up to my car and grab the car keys from my jacket pocket. As fast as possible I drive toward Kail's house. He doesn't have a huge mansion like me but he has enough space for only himself and some friends. When I arrive there I walk behind the house. I catch sight of a big metallic door and open it. Quickly I go down some steps.

»Finally you're here«, Kail greets me when I reach his warm basement.

I already see all the other members of his gang sitting at a table. I'm not in the gang officially because I personally rather work alone but now I'm very glad Kail is in it.

»Today a guy at my school ran up to me and fainted in my arms«, I start to explain,»As we got him to the hospital he was dead. The doctors say its because of a poisonous liquor in his veins and we all know that they are talking about the serums. But it wasn't me who gave him the syringes. It was Austin.«

»Why would he do that?«, Mike wonders.

He's one of the gang members.

»Because he doesn't want me to hang out with his little sister«, I respond making everyone laugh,»We need to find some evidence.«

The room turns silent. Everybody is wrapt in their own thoughts.

»You said Austin gave the dead boy some serums«, Kail murmurs under his breath.

I nod agreeable.

»And you said it happened at your school«, James says.

Another gang member. Once more I nod my head.

»So could it be that Austin maybe put the syringe somewhere on the boy's body?«, Mike asks.

With wide eyes I look at him.

»We could drive to the hospital and search for it. And if we find one maybe there are some fingerprints on it. It would be worth a try«, Kail tells me and I agree.
