Part 39

*Your pov.*

As I stand in front of the huge building I feel myself getting nervous. School was always my least favorite place to go to. It's boring and I hate studying but after everything that happened the past few days school is the only place I feel normal and somehow safe in. 

»Do you honestly want to do this? We've been through some pretty shitty things. Maybe it's better if we just chill-«

»And by chill you mean making out with Clara while Kail and I watch you. No, thanks«, I say and turn my head in his direction to give him a playful wink. 

Jason stares at me stunned as if he never expected me to expose him and his bedfellow. I hear Kail laugh in the background causing me to grin triumphantly. 

»What's so funny, dude?«, Jason wonders edgy examining his best friend angrily.

»N-nothing, man. I was just thinking about a joke«, Kail replies trying to hold in his laughter. 

Amused I watch them continue their argument as all of a sudden Clara walks up to us. When I examine her my jaw literally drops. She's wearing a black v-neck dress with some matching high heels. Her blonde hair is tight up in a braid which reveals her face more. 

»Hey, guys«, she greets us but nobody is able to speak,»What?«

»Uhm...don't you think you look a bit too sexy for school?«, Jason asks licking his lips clearly turned on by her look. 

»Aww, thanks«, Clara replies happily.

I widen my eyes confused as she hugs Jason. His hand travels down to her waist and I gulp down hard. Quickly I look down at the ground. At the same time Clara presses her red lips on his. I stare at them for a second and feel a knot in my stomach. Jason is pushing her lower body closer to him as he lets his tongue enter her mouth. She smiles arrogantly as if she knows that I'm watching them. When they stop I look away fast. My eyes meet Kail.

»Well I think I'm going to throw up if I watch you any longer so I'll go inside now«

»I'll join you«, I state and feel Jason's gaze on me.

Kail makes his way to the big front door of our school and I follow him. The second we walk in the hallway I see students rushing to their classes. I feel someone behind me but I don't bother to turn around since I already know who it is. 

»I can't come with you because I don't go to school anymore but I'll wait for you«, Kail tells us.

»Okay, be careful«, I say and start to walk to the room I'll have my first lesson in. 

As I hear footsteps following my path I turn on my heels just to see Jason in front of me. 

»What do you think you are doing? You're not in my math class«

»I know but today I am. We have too many enemies right now. I have to keep an eye one you«

»Thanks but I can watch out for myself, plus I have no enemies«, I explain,»You have.«

He rolls his eyes and sighs annoyed. I open the door to my classroom and quickly take a seat at one of the tables in the back. Jason sits on a chair next to me but I only ignore him. The lesson begins and I try to focus on the teacher. Only ten minutes later I hear someone whispering my name. I tilt my head to the side and catch sight of Jason staring at me. 

»What?«, I answer pissed. 

»Why are you ignoring me?«

»Because I'm not supposed to talk to bad boys«, I reply and look at the board.
