*Jason's pov.*

Walking out of the school building I casually make my way to the parking lot reading Y/n's letter for the 10th time. As I catch sight of her standing beside my car I grin lightly and get ready for her to apologize because she blamed me for killing people with the serums which isn't true. But the closer I get to her the more I can see her face. My eyes widen as I notice a tear fall down her soft cheek.

»Hey«, I greet her and she quickly wipes away the salty liquor on her face,»What's wrong?«

»I-I need a place to sleep«, Y/n says sounding pretty decisive while avoiding eye contact.

Shortly I examine her appearance and feel sympathy build in my body. Her eyes are very red and her hair is a complete mess.

She needs help, I hear my inner voice tell me and I sight quietly.

»You can sleep at my house«, I tell her.

»But your parents-«

»They will be fine with it«, I reply staring directly in her eyes now.

Y/n nods and I open the passenger door for her to climb in my Bugatti. After I get in the car as well we drive off to my home. Nobody says anything and I look at Y/n for a split moment. Then I hear her sniff and feel the need to tell her something.

»You okay?«, I wonder.

Again she sniffs and brushes her nose with one of the tissues she's holding in her hand.

»Yes«, she replies and I hear her voice crack slightly.

Groaning I make a hard break and park my car at a nearby parking space.

»What are you doing?«, Y/Nn asks me staring at me confused.

Then I notice the tears on her cheeks and almost freak out. I hate to see her like that and I swear whoever did this to her will pay for this.

»Tell me what's wrong«, I demand in a very quiet and soothing voice.

»I-I can't«, she says and I see tears form in her eyes.

Instantly I lay both my hands on her heated cheeks and look her deep in the eyes.

»Don't cry, Y/N«, I tell her,»I can help you, if you just let me.«

Y/n seems to think about it for a second while examining my brown eyes. Then another tear rolls down her face and I quickly wipe it away with one of my fingers. Her mouth opens a little and I stare at her lips. Suddenly I feel my face closing the space between us. She looks at my lips as well now and I feel a weird feeling in my stomach when I kiss her. Her lips taste salty from her tears but I don't stop to press mine against hers. Y/n wraps her arms around my neck and I kiss her with more force.

The way her tongue touches my lower lips gets me weak and I feel myself slowly drifting away from everything what happened today. The only thing I think about is how our lips are moving in perfect sync. All of a sudden Y/n puts her hands on my chest pushing me away lightly. I watch her licking her lips and I quickly sit up on my seat again. Staring outside I run my hands through my hair fixing them a little bit.

»Austin told me the truth«, I listen to Y/n say and look at her,»You are right. He was the one who did the deals not you. I'm sorry.«

Some minutes ago I would've wanted an apologize from her so desperately but now I only wish her lips back on mine.

What is she doing to me?, I ask myself. I'm Jason McCann. I don't fall in love with a normal girl like her. That's not possible.

»You don't have to say sorry«, I tell her,»I'm just glad you're okay.«

I feel her staring at me for a second and clench my jaw.

»I had a fight with him this morning that's why I'm still in my pajamas and it's also one of the reasons why I can't go home today«, she explains and I nod understandable.

»Then let's bring you home to me«, I reply giving her a small smile.

After some minutes we finally arrive at my house.

»There you are, Jason«, my mom starts to greet me when we enter the house,»And you took Y/n with you.«

»Good afternoon, Mrs. McCann«, Y/n greets my mom.

»Oh, come on I told you, you can call me Katie«, my mom tells her.

After both of us take off our shoes we smell food coming from the kitchen.

»Do you want to eat something?«, my mom wonders and I look at Y/n.

She gives me a sign that she doesn't want to eat right now and I nod.

»Mom, could Y/n sleep here for one night?«, I ask her and she looks at me surprised.

»Of course why not«, my mom answers and I whisper a small thank you when me and Y/n want to walk in my room but unfortunately someone stops us.

»Y/FN?!«, Y/N frowns as she sees her friend standing in our living room,»What are you doing here?«

»I could ask you the same question«, she says and I look at my mom confused.

»I-I have some family problems and Jason is giving me a place to sleep now«, Y/n tells her.

Then I look at Y/FN again.

»But you can sleepover at my house«, she says but immediately I interrupt her.

»No, she'll stay here where it's safe«, I explain and both of them are just looking at me.

Y/FN examines me then my mom and nods. After that she walks up to the front door.

»Y/FN!«, Y/N calls her again and her friend turns around,»Why were you here?«

»I had some business stuff to take care of«, she responds looking at my mother again.

Then she leaves the house.

»If you need anything, I'm here«, my mom says before she steps in the kitchen and leaves us as well.
