Tragic starts. New beginnings

Chapter 6 Hope

Moms POV
"Is she going to be ok" i said through sobbing tears.  " she's going to fine, the doctor said . " theres no traumatic issues that we know of right now, we about to run some more test." I nodded and turn to look at my daughter lying there like she was lifeless. I started to pray after the nurses came to get her to run more test. " lord please help my daughter get through this, help me get through this . We can't do this by ourselves, let these test come back negative and nothing dramatically wrong. If it's your will, let it be done amen." As I ended my prayer some of her friends came in to see if she was Ok and asked how I was doing .
Jordan's POV
" Mama how's it going?" She got up from kneeling down and told me they went to run more test. I couldn't help but think it all happened so fast, we were all having fun , dancing , laughing, chilling then out of no where the fun suddenly subsided. I didn't really know what her mom was feeling right now but I could tell she was hurt and at her end with all the bad news. He facial expressions were like I never seen when it came to being worried about your child.
--Moments later--
They brought her back in and she was slowly waking up. The doctors came in and spoke to all of us because her mom said we were all like family, even Cami.
Cami's POV
I didn't know Kayla long, but it's something about having something bad happen seems to bring people closer. I was in the room with her best friend and her mom, I look around the room and see everyone's sadden faces and I know how they felt. I've been in this situation before and I can't imagine anyone else going through it. The doctors began talking to us and telling Kayla's mom that the test looked fine and she should be ready to go home in the next couple of days.
Kayla' POV
I heard voices around me but I couldn't quite make out who's was who. My eyes slowly started to open and I had a killer headache, I don't remember much but Cami and Jordan screaming my name over and over. Now I'm in this hospital bed with my mom standing over me crying. I start to get a few words out but all I can manage was " ma .."
--few hours later--
Hours passed and I'm starting to feel normal again except for the excruciating pain in my abdomen. Jordan was telling me what happened after I blacked out. " everyone started running around like a chicken with its head cut off, and the guys who were there fled as soon as they saw you were hit. An ..." I cut her off, " what did these guys look like?" I asked " they were tall, muscular, bald" she said. Now that she has describe them in somewhat great detail, like there's not guys that look just like that all around Chicago. As I start thinking back to that day I left Jordan house and those dudes were trying to get my attention I remember a dude with that exact description.
I'll have to tell my big cuz all about this later but right now I just want to thank god for allowing me to still be here. I look around the room breaking out of my thoughts, " everyone left to get food, they'll be right back" Cami said I guess she noticed how dazed I looked. " how are you feeling ?" She asked " I'm doing pretty okay, thanks for coming" I responded with a half cheeky smile. She reached for my hand and held it tight as if she knew me for years. I squeezed her hand a little and she did the same to mine. I pulled her in for a kiss and out lips met and instant sparks flew as if it was meant to be. I heard someone clear their throat and Cami pulled away with blushed red cheeks. It was my mom, she just sat back and smiled.  " I knew I liked you." She smiled " mom you barely know her , like I do." I laughed a little " but she stayed by your side and prayed along with me for a speedy recovery that was a sign" she responded . Cami smiled and hid her face. Her phone started to ring. And by the look on her face I knew it couldn't be anyone  she wanted to talk to.
