“Magnus, the baby is crying” I groaned and rolled over, but Magnus wasn't there. I got up and trudged down the hall to the babies room. My heart almost melted at the sight. Magnus, my wonderful husband of 150 years, sat rocking our 27th child back to sleep. Yes 27th.
Once they grew up, we got lonely and adopted more. Jace and Aspen help us babysit when it becomes overwhelming. Since they decided against having any of their own.
All of my family are gone. All I have left is my children, my parabatai, Aspen and “Magnus”
He turned to me, his beautiful cat eyes shining in the darkness. Still looking not a day over 25.
I smile and walk over, wrapping my arms around his waist and kissing him. “Come back to bed, Aaron's asleep now”
We spend a few moments in the dark, silence. Watching our warlock son sleep. It's peaceful and heart warming. Makes me feel safe. Then we quietly make our way back to bed. Curling up in each other's arms. “150 years.. Are you tired of me yet?” I ask with a smirk.
“Oh, I'm just getting started. Shadowhunter”
