I smiled at the picture I saw him holding from up here. He'd found a picture that i'd thought was long gone! He could keep it though. You could see from the way his face lit up that having that picture that having one little look made him all the more happy about his mother. Luke was telling him stories about her all true of course even the one about my mistake with the battle of Fairy Tail. I knew my mistakes the moment I committed them and I laughed when Lucius looked so mortified at the part where he heard his mother beat me up pretty badly!
"Do you see Lucy? Our son's growing up." I whispered as I looked at the keys i'd found searching through the rubble. It was nice to know that even though she was gone I somehow had a part of her with me which in a sense makes me realize just how our son felt when he heard about his mother and saw a picture for the first time. Lucy was a major part of my life of his even though he seems to only know that through pictures as well as stories that not everyone are so keen on sharing though he was adamant on getting as much information oh his loving Blondie of a mother and managed to coax his uncle into giving him the information that seemed to sate his mind even though it would only be for a little while. Enjoy this moment my son for who knows when you will physically be able to hold her.
"You're okay with them searching threw the rubble?" It was Gray who was smiling at something his son was holding behind him. "The boys and Nashi went in and found a few pictures. They were thinking they could post them on a memory board as they call it. They want everyone to know that they were here to." I smiled.
"If they want to do that then i'm all for it." Gray was looking at the keys in my hands.
"We know they're alive. The spirits themselves wouldn't have let a non-celestial wizard keep their keys unless they are trusted by their master." I smiled knowing those words were all too true. "If Lucy is alive then the others have to be to even of they are stone statues." We smiled as Storm and Lucius talked heading over to an empty board pulling out a few books that made me and Gray stop all together as well as most in the guild as they started making a memory board as Gray called it.
"Nice job!" Nashi said as they finished it up. "There you go Fairy Tail! A tribute to our missing members who we all dearly love!" Natsu smiled looking at the picture of him and Lucy as kids while the others all looked at the pictures of the smiling people. Even Jellal smiled at the sight of his red headed girlfriend.
I walked down and looked at the pictures of Lucy and I holding Lucius. Even if she's not her I know that one day i'll find her.
"See Dad. Sometimes looking through the wreckage of the past brings happy things." Lucius said as I gave him a hug.
"Thank you Lucius. It's been awhile since i've seen a picture of her." He smiled back at me as the guild members all had their own little chats about the people they loved and lost. It was okay though seeing as it brought smiles to people's faces even Elfman smiled at his sister and girlfriend hugging!
"See my child. Hope comes in many forms. In this case the finding of an album." My grandfather sat on the bar looking at the pictures of the lost children as he called them. Nashi dragged Storm and Lucius away and began talking to them. The words she said had to be very important because as soon as they tried to run she began dragging them to the library without letting them off the hook.
"Looks like you have a mini Natsu Lisanna!" I said as the whole guild laughed at the sight of the doors closing behind the irritated kids of the Fairy Tail guild's members. Everyone knew that having a mini Natsu was like having a whole nother reason to lock us in cages! We were rowdy like before don't get me wrong it's just that most of us had kids now all of whom were getting the more crazy genes from the parents. I admit Lucius as calm and collected as he was still sometimes got very mad.
"Yeah. I'm not sure if I should be proud of that or mortified." This only caused a louder laughter as Natus threw his wife over his shoulder.
"Take it back!" He said while tickling her sides. "Take it back Lis!" She was trying so hard not to laugh. It was kinda painful to watch Natsu have someone by his side when the one I want by my side just happens to be a stone statue who knows where! I'm kinda jealous of him but then again who can blame me.
"NO! It's true! Hahaha! Stop it you Baka!" He looked pained though only Gajeel and I saw it. Lucy used to do that to him so it hurt him to know that the emptiness he felt was still there, but then again we all felt it in one way or another. For me it was the loss of my Fiancee for Gajeel it was the loss of his girlfriend and for Gray it was the same as me! Most of us had a hole in our hearts, but we still manage to keep up the Fairy Tail name and try to find them. We just miss them a whole lot.
We aren't whole without the ones we love and especially not without our strongest mages both in body and in soul. What can I say? We all knew that Lucy and Erza were the strongest of the two female wizards in the guild as well as the rest who were always in the mindset to protect the members as well as the people they care about.
When will we find them?
