There was a time and place for things but I was all to prepared for the events to come meaning facing all the guilds once again like any guild would have to, but this time? They had us to help them win! There was an aura seeping out of the office where Laxus sat causing me to laugh and pop my head in only to see him lightly banging his head against the desk. With a soft smile I creeped up behind him shaking my head as I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"You okay?" There was a sigh as the banging stopped. When he turned his head to the side there was no way you couldn't laugh as there was a bright red spot smack in the middle of his forehead though with the amount of papers I see you can't exactly blame him. He's been here for basically half of the day and there isn't even a dent in the work. "Want my help?" A soft smile was on his face as he nodded obviously not about to decline any help when it came to this amount of work.
We, together, finally managed to get basically all of the papers sorted out and finished though at some points Laxus looked like he was literally about to blow up which we really really can't have if we want to stay a guild. The things people will do to make these things seem worse then worse! Honestly the other guilds are so silly.
"Come on Sparky! We have to go home." He only gave his signature glare before turning his head back into his desk. "Ugh! I have to go then! Lucius needs to get to bed and you my dear Fiance need to get some sleep yourself!" I poked him in his cheek making him sigh and look at me with what you could say was a calm and collected look though it was more a glare that seemed normal.
"What do I get out of it Blondie? I still have work to do." The fact is he was still as stubborn as the day I had met him which was when he was a kid though who would've known that he actually had a soul back then!
With that I took his hand in mine placing my head on the desk so I was looking at him in the eyes. What he got out of it? There are many questions but I knowing him know he doesn't want to because he knows he can't touch me with Lucius in the house. What does it matter though? The things people will make you think is really stunning. Still the GMG is in four months and he'll have me to himself for a while knowing that Lucius is still taking lessons from his Grandfather.
"Come on Laxus. You can't sleep here. Besides I'm going home to sleep and you'd miss me like I'd miss you so we both lose something rather than gain." Silence was all that followed as he studied my face though I remained collected through the whole thing. A sigh came as he stood up pushing in his chair making me smirk internally at my victory.
"Let's get Lucius then." Quickly I took his hand in mine as we just smiled and walked down the stairs where Lucius hopped up to Laxus and jumped on his back making him laugh as he and his father played piggyback all the way back to the house which was kinda adorable to see.
The things that make him unique are the things that make me confused about just how much they can go through without truly wondering the possibility of the world. So much can happen in such little time yet we ignore the fact that we've been gone six years so much that us girls haven't even asked what major things have happened to the guild in those years.
People look at Laxus with sadness which makes me wonder just what happened and when they look at us girls all they can do is look away with pain among other things. What could possibly make it that way? The girls and I have been trying to figure it out since we got back though no one tells us saying it's something Fairy Tail should tell us though they act as if nothing happened which is honestly pissing me off to a new degree. We should be informed if something bad happened yet we are being dissed like yesterday's trash! I mean it's not like I want to pry, but sometimes you just have to.
When we arrived at home it was barely light out and Lucius was so tired he fell asleep about three quarters of the way back so it was easy to put him to bed though the thoughts that went through my head on the way here only angered me to the point that I wanted to scream. The look on my face was enough to alert Laxus something was eating away at me though as many times as he called I'd ignored it.
"LUCY!" My body slightly jumped up making me blink furiously. He sighed and sat down looking at me with the 'Spill It' look. This only made me look away not wanting to be to forward with the touchy subject.
"Laxus be honest and don't change the subject..." His body tensed up. Whenever I said that he knew that I knew something was wrong in more ways than one. "What happened when we were gone?" This time I looked at him to see the pain on his face which he was very bad at masking up.'
"Lucy..." There was such anger in his tone. "Why are you asking me that?" Anger welled up inside of me. Is he stupid!? I notice how things are! It's not okay! This made me scoff as I quickly got up and walked outside not listening to Laxus as he yelled my name. Does he not realize how much I'm worrying right now. "LUCY! STOP!" In an instant I did and turned to face him.
"Do you always have to do that!?" He had anger in his eyes. "I ask a simple question! One that all us girls need to know and what do you do!? You toss it aside so easily like it's something you'd kill to hide!" The way his jaw clenched was an easy sign that he was mad though when I realized it I quickly turned back to the place I was heading which was nowhere. After getting not even three yards my arm was grabbed electrical shocks being sent through my arms.
"Stop. Moving." There was a dangerous edge to his tone and it was not one I was so callously going to mess with. "You have no idea what we went through without you. Not one bit. Every person has a reason for not telling you because it was something we agreed to not speak of." My eyes did not dare to look at the man behind me in fear of what that reality is. "So we won't tell you. It's not something someone just goes and spills." I ripped my arm from his grip though only to have my body pushed into his hardly.
"Let. Me. Go." Like him I had edge more than ever before.
"No. We're going home Lucy. You aren't getting a say." First time we have a fight as a couple and he still doesn't understand it at all.
I'm not one to give up.
