Chapter 6
Back at the cabin, everyone was loudly discussing today's white-water rafting incident.
"Her boobs were so fake that when she fell, they floated!" Ashyr imitated Brigitte's floating boobs while screaming random things.
Brigitte and her crew did get rescued... eventually. And I had to admit, things didn't turn out as monstrous as I planned it to be.
And for that split moment, I actually felt glad that I went rafting.
But emphasis on the word moment, because that's how long my happiness lasted.
Suddenly, I heard banging on the door. Kerri ran and opened the door. There stood Winnie, the head counselor, and Brigitte. Brigitte had an evil little smile on her face.
I felt my heart sink.
"You guys stranded a group of rafters in the middle of the river?!" Winnie screamed. She looked furious beyond reason. "How could you put all those peoples' lives in danger?!"
"Well they put Taylor's life in danger too! Miss Balloon-boobs over here knocked Taylor out of the raft!" Kerri defended.
God Kerri... I love you so much...
"You should have reported to me! Not retaliated! This was a strength-building activity! To get people closer together!"
"Oh we got closer together alright. We were so close together, we morphed into one giant mutant kick ass team!" Ashyr retorted.
"That’s it!! You're all going to do outhouse duty for two weeks as punishment!" Winnie snapped.
"What?! Then what about Brigitte?" I blurted.
"You leave that to me! I’m the counselor here! Another stunt like that and you'll be going home as quick as you got here!” She barked, and walked out of the cabin with Brigitte.
Everyone was seething. I couldn't believe that I had just earned outhouse duty for two weeks.
"I'm sorry guys. It's all my fault," I sighed and climbed onto my bunk. "You didn't have to get revenge for me. Winnie was right."
"No it's not, Taylor. Brigitte is just an evil little monster. She's like the spawn of Satan," Kerri commented, climbing onto the bunk and sitting next to me.
"I don't know why she hates me so much!" I sighed miserably.
"I don't know about that and all... but we sure kicked her ass!" Ashyr remarked.
I gave a weak laugh. I realized that even something like this couldn't faze Ashyr. He always made me laugh. Too bad we were still stuck with outhouse duty for two weeks.
"You're not going to leave it at that are you, Taylor? You realize you have to get her back for this..." Ashyr coolly replied.
"I do?"
"Shut up Ashyr! We're already in a shit-load of trouble! We don't need any more," Joel retorted.
"What? So you're giving up just like that? You can't just stand still and take this. She's got us shoveling shit for two weeks. I dunno about you guys, but I believe revenge is in order." It was Jared who said this.
All heads turned to him... he was usually extremely quiet and reserved. He generally only talked to Liam. When he spoke up, I realized that maybe he was right. Brigitte couldn't always think she could get away with things like that. I should strike back...
"Amen to that, Jared!" Ashyr said, giving him a hard pat on the back.
"So, what are we going to do?" I asked.
Ashyr smirked. "Leave that to me."
