Chapter 11
So here we were, sitting in a small cramped storage shed that was pitch black. It was highly uncomfortable, and moreover, I had to spend it with ass the ass-wipe for ten whole minutes. I could feel him breath falling sharply on the back of my head. His body was merely inches away from mine.
I heard giggling outside the shed. I was sure it was Kerri. She was probably spying on me. And I was sure she was not alone. I put my ear against the shed door.
"What are you doing?"
"Shh! I think they're spying on us."
"No duh..." he exclaimed, prying me away from the door.
"What?"
"Of course they're spying outside. They're probably sitting against the shed door right now, listening to you." With that, he suddenly banged on the shed door from the inside and I heard someone fall over from the other side and shriek with laughter.
Ashyr started cursing as he fell backwards. I could hear Kerri laughing in the background as she landed butt-first on Ashyr.
"Idiots," I muttered.
Joel cocked an eyebrow, giving me a "you-would-have-done-that-too" look. I returned it with a "stop-looking-at-me-or-I'll-rip-off-that-smirk" look.
"This is highly uncomfortable," I suddenly declared, "But at least I don't have to sit on the moldy floor. Who put this cushy thing here anyway?"
"Taylor, you're sitting on me."
"Oh..." I quickly backed off, falling over some box doing so.
"Actually, I don't mind," he laughed, pulling me up. I was sure he was smirking.... but I really couldn't see in the darkness. I sighed loudly, pushing him away from me, ignoring his 2-second chivalry.
"So... how long has it been?"
"Two minutes.”
"Only two minutes?!"
"Yep."
"I really don't want to be here."
"Stop denying Taylor. You know you want me."
"Joel... get your hand off of my chest."
"That's not your chest!"
"Yea it is, dumbass."
"Oh... sorry. My bad," he muttered. I could hear the embarrassment in his voice.
"Yea, well you're only forgiven because it's dark."
"So I can do it again because it's dark?” I reached out and smacked him, hoping to hit him in the face.
"You're very violent, you know that. Always hitting people," he groaned, rubbing his stinging jaw.
"Yes. Tough love, Joey."
