Beautiful Escape

I woke up to a soft-snoring Jhoana. I think she really got tired. Her arms took my body as its territory and her legs - like veins around my lower body. I carefully removed her arms and stood up. I winced at the pain but it's a delectable pain. Yung tipong hahanap-hanapin mo...

...Hahanapin like my clothes. I scanned the entire room for my undies, my shorts, and my shirt. One by one, I picked them up and immediately dressed myself. I took a glance at her. And my heart beamed with happiness.

I covered her with a blanket, kissed her forehead and let out a big sigh.

I gathered my things and left.

Iniwan niya ba talaga ako?

Tinry ko ulit tumayo.

"Tssss!"

Ouch.

This body sore's nothing compared to that epic love-making. I carefully reached out for a blanket and wrapped my body - burrito style.

I slowly but surely stood up and went out of my bedroom. Still finding balance since my legs are like jelly.

"Bei?" Tinawag ko siya habang palabas ng kwarto.

Ang tahimik ng buong condo.

Wala na yung gamit niya. Gamit - being the car keys and wallet. Di naman yun mahilig bumitbit ng bag.

I checked the time, it's still 9:45pm. Akala ko I slept the whole night sa sobrang pagod.

I held on to the blanket para di mahulog. It was the only thing that makes me not butt-naked.

I sat down and fixed myself a sandwich. I chewed my food slowly sa sobrang 'sabog' pa yung feeling ko.

I don't know if I'm gonna be sad because umalis siya ng walang paalam. Baka kasi may gagawin pa bukas kaya umalis na.  or I'll entertain this kilig inside my heart sa nangyari kagabi. It was my first time. Yes, I've dated girls before but we never got into this level. Puro MOMOL lang yun at di ko naman masyadong sineryoso.

I smiled at the thought of Bea. She makes me smile and kilig kahit na iniisip ko lang siya. I tried calling her again and again, wala pa ring sagot.

Nakatunganga ako habang kumakain. This sandwich might taste better if I'm eating this with her. Kumain na kaya 'yun?

I received a text from her and it made me smile like an idiot. I stood in line waiting for my turn to pay for the groceries.

"Ma'am?"

"Oops, I'm sorry."

I unloaded the cart and paid for everything. Hindi ako marunong magluto but as what they all say, you'll do everything for the one you love, with love.

I drove back to her place and got really excited to see her. It's ten in the evening but my energy feels like it's morning.
