Right once Annabeth said, 'what's best for everyone' we all knew what she meant. We had to leave Leo behind.

"What? No!"

Ariana starts yelling

"We can't leave someone behind! He's supposed to be on this quest!"

This is the first time that Ariana has actually stood up for someone. She usually just stays in the shadows and lets everyone figure it out for themselves

"Woah calm down, Ariana!"

Annabeth tries to soothe Ariana but only stirs her anger more

"Calm down? Calm down? How am I supposed to calm down when you guys are considering leaving someone behind! He is part of this quest and if we don't bring him then we will certainly screw something up! We wouldn't just bring someone useless along! He's supposed to be here!"

Ariana is full on yelling and we have a crowd around us

Great, just what we need, a crowd

I think.

"Ariana, yeah he's supposed to help us but we can't just postpone a quest! This has to be done now!"

Piper joins in.

"Why do you guys not see this!? What if you were him and you wanted to go. Would you just want to sit here all alone waiting for us to come back!? I know I wouldn't!"

"Ariana, calm down. We have to do this, if Leo could come we would happily bring him along but he can't come! So we don't have a choice, Ariana! Now stop arguing and let's go!"

Annabeth says. This is the first time I've ever seen them argue. They're usually the happy sisters who never fight. This is a first for Annabeth and Ariana.

"No,"

Ariana still argues

"I'm going to stick up for Leo"

"I don't get it! Why are you standing up for him if you know he can't go!?"

Annabeth asks.

"Because, I'm his friend and I want to be able let him do what he wants"

Ariana argues even more.

"But the doctor said he can't go!"

"If Leo isn't going I'm not either."

Ariana says very seriously.

"Are you serious?"

I ask Ariana.

Ariana just nods her head up and down still holding the same expression.

"Ariana, I know this is your first quest and all but we have to-"

Piper tries to charmspeak Ariana but it doesn't work

"I know! We have to, it's just so important, I know that! But I don't care! I'm staying"

"Ugh!"

Is all Annabeth says while she throws her hands up in the air in exasperation and stomps out the infirmary.
