Chapter 32

Ariana

Percy slices Emma and her mom's head off and it reminds me of that first day I met him...

*FLASHBACK*

He grabs a pen out of his pocket and is about to click it but I see the pen and ask,"Okay, just wondering, but how is a pen going TO SAVE US?"

"It's not a pen it's a-"

"Well it sure looks like a pen!"

"-sword"

"Oh... I knew that, carry on."

By the time of our small little conversation was over this some called Medusa was even closer to us. He comes out of the water when Medusa is focused on me he comes up behind her very slowly and quietly, and slices her head off.

"I don't know about you, whatever your name is, but I'm disgusted."

"Well, I'm used to it, and I'm Percy Jackson."

*END OF FLASHBACK*

I'm smiling and staring and Percy when I remember that.

"Ariana?" Percy asks. I'm still staring at him and smiling when he walks up to me and snaps in my face. "Hello?" I come back to normal life and I apologize, "Oh, sorry. I was... flashing back..." I say and narrow my eyes. "Why'd you do that?"

I ignore him and ask, "What do we do now? We have the trident, now what do we do?" Percy replies, "We have to somehow give it back to my dad."

"Oh, I forgot about that. How do we give it to him?" I ask. "We have to... um... I don't know, actually." Percy somewhat answers my question. "How did you give Zeus his lightning bolt back?"

There is silence and I can tell Annabeth and Percy are thinking. Annabeth answers instead of Percy saying, "We had to go to Mount Olympus and present it to him." I nod slowly and look around. There is another silence but this one is uncomfortable. We just look at each other and then look at the ground then it would repeat.

Annabeth breaks the silence by asking, "Should we go to Mount Olympus?" We all don't move for a second then we all nod in agreement.

We are on Festus and up in the air when someone finally speaks again. "So, I get to see my mom again, huh?"

Piper asks. Annabeth laughs and says, "I guess you do!" I think it's just some inside joke because I don't get it and I have a feeling I don't want to know.

After about a day or so we finally land back in New York, we make Festus land on top of an abandoned building and we walk down the old stairs and out onto the busy, big streets of New York.

We're walking for about half an hour when we reach the Empire State Building and we enter the lobby. Percy goes up to the desk and asks for floor 600. On the elevator up to the 600th floor you can just feel the tension. Some people are nervous about meeting their mom or dad, some are not familiar with Greeks gods and goddesses. Me on the other hand, is just meeting my mom for the first time, and man, am I nervous.

The elevator doors open and we walk on the never ending walk to Mount Olympus.
